81st Day of Spring, 514AV

(7th Bell/sunrise)
Nayato had to admit that this was not how he had imagined his morning to be going. He had not anticipated that he would feel so uncomfortable with his own body, but it was his first time wearing Full Plate Armor. The armor was neither shining or gleaming, only scuffed and battered from signs of previous use. Despite appearance the armor was in good condition and fitted snugly enough by a smith to accommodate him. Even though he had only awoken a bell ago to make the trip from the Squire dormitories to the Antinous Training Grounds atop the First Tier. He was already sweating. Heavily if the clingy feeling of his linen shirt under the steel suit was any indication.
As he wandered the training grounds in search of his Patron, he lifted the visor to his helmet to take a better look at his surroundings.
He found his Patron Knight, Ser Cagus Brimholt, standing within a grove of trees that eerily emulated the bronze wood on the castle roof. Where Nayato was tall and athletically lean, Cagus was a slightly shorter man with a broad chest and sturdy build. He stood in full armor true of his standings as a real knight. "Hello, Nayato!" He was happy to see the Chaktawe again. The knight was very busy with his own duties the previous day to properly welcome Nayato into the order, so finding time for the two of them to spend together training today was easy. "How are you doing?"
"The morning goes well." He grinned, shifting his body from side to side while slowly growing comfortable in the armor. "I am excited, nervous, and ready for what the day may bring." The lead knight nodded happily. "We will start from the beginning. Today we shall review your combat skills." The knight said with a smile to Nayato, before he held up his left arm where a buckler shield was strapped to his forearm. "Of all the skills I will teach you honor will be your greatest shield. When all is said and done, I'll have taught you things that will spawn temptation to follow a darker path. As a knight you will one day wield great skill and weapons, and you should be prepared to use them only for good. So are you ready to learn?"
Nayato listened attentively and nodded his head in response. "I am ready." Cagus lowered the visor on his helmet as he chuckled. "As a Chaktawe, I am safe to assume you worship Eywaat of Ingenuity?" He asked his squire curiously. "You would be correct, Ser." The intrigue in the knight's voice when he asked the question was enough to make Nayato arch a brow. "And what of the gods we in the Order Worship? Tyveth, Sylir, Yahal, and Eyris? Do you pray to any of them?" He shook his head in earnest. "I know of them In name only, I only heard of Yahal from the Benshira and the rest in conversation. But, no. I have never prayed to them."
Cagus expected as much, only letting out a chuckle which Nayato noted as a quirk the man did quite often. "You will come to know them in time. However, I want you to know of Tyveth today. He is the god of Honor, Justice, Valor, Chivalry, and Truth. Also known as the 'Lord of Honor'. To worship him is to live truthfully. To always do what is right, always speak honestly, and always stand for justice. Remember, a man without honor has nothing."
The spark of a new faith was kindled within Nayato's soul. Walking an honorable life was now a path he wanted to discover or craft if need be.
