Gilva rushed out of his cottage towards The Quill's Rest, leaving practically everything except his gold miza's. He had spent most of his time reminiscing on his encounter with the girl from two nights ago whilst he was in the shower, so he quickly dressed himself and didn't even consider the other items that he may need for his first day on the job. It would be his first performance gig at the within The Quill's Rest. He had applied the day before, and had been booked as entertainment for a private party being held by a resident of Zeltiva.
When he opened the door to The Quill's Rest, Gilva was pleased to see that he had made it before the guests. The 18th hour was nearing, and the boy was scheduled to have his performance at approximately 26 chimes after the 18th hour. Since he had arrived so early, the boy took the time to analyze his environment. It was decorated for the sake of the party, but there was a small platform that was elevated above the rest of the floor. Ironically, this platform was the most decorated area of the room. Perhaps it served more than one purpose rather than just for his performance?
There were some chairs and tables scattered about the lounge and a fireplace on the left side of the building, but for the most part it seemed as if this venue was designed for the guests to be standing. Either way was fine with the boy, after all, he would have his time in the limelight and he would be paid for it. This was the life that he had desired so intently, that his family were forced to sacrifice their lives in order for him to achieve it. The main beverage was Steamed Kelp Tea, but Gilva also noticed that there was a sign advertising fine bottlea of wine for 10 gold mizas, which seemed to have been implemented for this specific occasion. He had never drank before in his life, so he couldn't help but wonder what it was like.
The boy wasn't particularly sure of what to do with himself, after all he was only hired as entertainment. However, he was absolutely sure that he would be able to do great. Even though his skills weren't to the level that he wanted them to be, he was very dexterous and he could possibly be able to mix different skills in order to increase his performance. Dancing was his primary focus, but if all else failed, he could revert to his natural talent of storytelling. Vanthan's were known to be famous for their storytelling ability, so Gilva would have a fallback in case his audience was unaffected by his motions.
Gilva walked over towards the wall on the left side of the building, which gave him clear view of the entire room. He leaned against the wall next to the fireplace so that he would be relatively out of the way. Sadly, one couldn't look at Gilva and tell that he was a performer by the way that he was dressed. The boy had neglected to buy a new outfit and consequently lacked the proper attire. He had been fortunate enough to grab his cloak, so he would be able to cite his history of living in Avanthal as the reason for his unwillingness to part with it. At least until he had saved enough mizas to buy more appropriate wear.
He raised his hood over his head, and allowed his grey eyes to gaze at the door, patiently awaiting the arrival of the guests.
