Small Questions

Hey guys,

So I was writing up some NPCs ideas and it brought on some questions. I couldn't find anything, maybe I missed it or it isn't yet writing so if ya could point me in the right direction?

1-Do any of the winds in Mizahar have names? Is this something that could be developed? Or did I miss it?

2-Are there constellations or stars names that are around here? I assume the North star is present and accounted for here.

3-About how fast can a Casinor go?

4-Can a Casinor be rowed with just two oars? I assume no but double checking here.

4-I didn't see any specific lore for certain fish, so the Suvan would equate to what area real world wise so I know what types could be found there roughly?

1) I have never heard of "wind" having names...so I don't think it's a thing? If you want to see if it can be developed, you might try to gauge interest in the World Development forum (make sure to read any applicable rules before actually trying to develop something though

).

2) I don't think there are a whole lot of constellations developed yet, but that would be another thing open for development in the WD forum. I found this Constellation Template, which suggests there's intent to have them developed at some point. The only other thing I can find that might be relevant is Astral Coordinates, but that's more for finding worlds via Summoning.

3) I do not know.

4) According to the price list, the Casinor is designed for one crew member, so it can be navigated with just one person.

5) You're probably okay with any sort of salt-water/ocean fish and creatures. (Non-arctic, as those would be up by Avanthal

)

Zulrav is the God of the Winds, and Zintila is the Goddess of the Stars, if that helps

A Casinor, to my understanding, is the equivalence of a sloop? So my guess would be however fast an average sloop is.

As for your other questions, my answers are no different from Alea's~

If you are referring to such names as Zephyr, Squall, Gale and Hurricane, I would expect they would apply here on Miz as well.

You could check this out. But I would avoid anything too clearly attributed to a single nation, for instance, a "Bali Wind". Or a "Barat" which is only in a certain bay on a certain island.

Concerning wind names, there actually are names for the winds we have on Earth. They are called Prevailing Winds, and there are three of them: Polar Easterlies, Westerlies, and Trade Winds.

I'm sure there would be some form of prevailing winds in Mizahar as well, or possibly a deity of some kind who rules over them or controls them, etc. If not, then I agree with the suggestion about checking in with the World Development Forum.

Horribly OoC, but I thought it was interesting and possibly relevant.
