[Jack Benefort]

So Jack was, and will again be when I pick him back up in the summer, on a quest to experience the many different cultures of Mizahar, and use his teaching skills to spread this knowledge in the different cities he visits, writing it all down along the way. He's currently in Riverfall. Here's what I'm looking for:

- People in each city who have a fair body of knowledge/lore on their cities and cultures. This could be pertaining to the place itself, specific races, etc. If you have hard-won knowledge worth sharing, Jack would love to make a record of it and spread it to the world. NPC's could potentially be satisfactory, but I would love to see PC's get in on this and build sort of a traveling compendium.

- People to come with me. I would love to have this be kind of a group thing as opposed to one dude traveling the world writing a book. As a group we could pool our efforts, protect one another, carry the work on if people died, etc. There would also be the possibility of establishing a school(s) of some sort eventually. And having different disciplines, particularly academic ones, will be a great boon. Having people who can interpret knowledge about music, art, battle, etc. As opposed to Jack just recording it, an understanding could be imparted.

- I'm sure there would be other needs, but these are the big ones I'm thinking of. So if you're interested, hit me up! Let's bring unity and awareness to the people of Mizahar.

I would eventually like to get in on this, Gilva's moving towards becoming a character that knows about events; like a journalist maybe? He's not exactly at that level yet, but I want him to grow towards that type of career. Right now he's just establishing contacts to people, which in turn would help further his knowledge of the things that is happening around him. Unfortunately, he isn't at the level to be of help to Jack. But luckily they aren't in the same city so maybe he can grow into it by the time they meet?

Definitely. I'm planning on playing Jack in Riverfall for at least the full summer, if not into the fall/winter. He isn't quite where he needs to be either. So once either of us is actually in the others neck of the woods, everything should be sorted.

Awesome. I was hoping you would. So here's what I'm thinking, as far as getting the ball rolling on this: First thing's first, characters need to meet. What I'm thinking is, sometime early in this summer season, everyone who is interested can do a social thread with Jack and they will get to know one another, he will pitch his idea to you, and we will see where it goes from there. Obviously we have all summer to build on that and convince your characters if they wouldn't immediately jump on it IC. As far as traveling goes, we would probably start traveling later in Summer or at the beginning of fall. This will give us time to build character relationships, make physical preparations, etc. As far as destinations, we sadly cannot go to Kenash at this point(at least, I can't) because I have a PC there. There are ways around that in the context of the group of course(i.e. somebody else could go there in order to collect information and meet up with us elsewhere) but that would imply a level of unity in purpose that we aren't super likely to achieve off the bat. So that leaves us with two feasibly reachable destinations: Zeltiva, or Ahnatep. If we go to Zeltiva we could likely stop in for a time at Endrykas. After any of that, we can play it by ear. And of course, anyone that wants to join up at any point in the journey/help us in a city, just let me know and we will make it work.

To all those involved, this plan is going to be put on hold and perhaps canceled. Having thought it through further, I have decided that now is not a good time to start using Jack again, and I may just go ahead and retire him. I'd like to focus on my main, Roscoe, and his work in Kenash. My heart just isn't really in this character after all the time gone, no matter how much I'd like it to be.
