"Okay, Animation is a branch of World Magic...which means that instead of using the djed of myself, I manipulate an object's djed...which means no overgiving," He said taking a moment to recollect his thoughts, "To be exact Animation seeks to bind life to an object...to put simply, Animators seek to create life...of course there are still risks, sometimes our creations will not do as we ask and interpret our request in ways we couldn't foresee... you turn." World magic? She had assumed most magics had overgiving, but apparently not. There was risk, though. “You initiate into Auristics by meditating, and by thinking.. well, hard about yourself. You will feel strained, at first, but don’t worry, it’s natural. It’s much harder to see your true self than what people think. You must also understand that everything is made up of different things. A desire of looking into the nature of things is something that helps also. People see the different things about you that make up you, if that makes sense.. So the aura that everyone sees is different. For example, right now as I look at yours, it is a dull-ish yellow, as if trying to reform. For another Aurist, it might be much more vibrant than mine, made of different colors, reflecting your mood. We can see, feel, smell the aura, but we mainly focus on our eyesight, as it is the easiest. Your turn, Kaik.” She thought that it was pretty much it for her at least- she could talk about where it came from, but that was roughly about it. She tilted her head slightly, barely noticeable, though, as she waited for his answer.

The more Kaik listened to Ayrui, the more he felt like delving into Auristics. All the possible uses and ways he could use this power seemed to swirl inside his head. He still preferred Animation over anything else...but this school of magic intrigued him to no ends. She finished her speech and now it was his turn. He was at a loss of words on how to explain the technique to her. The Animation Process was tedious and he really doubt she could remember all the steps involved. He decided to tell her in the most basic way possible, avoiding talk on life principle. Using a nearby stick he draws a large circle and a small circle on the ground, connecting the two with a line. He then explains, "This is a basic animation circle. Inside the smaller circle is the 'source' this can be just about anything living, inside the larger circle is the 'destination' this is what is being brought to life...in order to start the process a single drop of the Animator's blood is needed," He takes a quick breath, "what your're trying to do is transfer the memories of the source to the destination...in order to do this, the animator concentrates and in their mind imagine in some form transferring the information to the destination." Kaik lets out a sigh of relief, he hasn't talked that much since he was child. He says one more thing, "That's about all I can teach you...you'd probably understand more if you could see a demonstration but I don't think it would be practical for me to show you here...I think it's your turn?"

OOCWith Ayrui gone I'll be ending this thread abruptly. Kaik decided to take his leave. The two had drained each other of all they knew about their disciplines. With a simple goodbye he walked back home. Returning home he was greeted by Arya, joyful her master had returned. The animator simply nods at her before falling unto the bed. A slight grin appeared on his face as he recalled Ayrui's teachings. "One day perhaps..." he thought, "Auristics...such an interesting discipline." Tired from his unexpected meeting with another mage he closes his eyes.

I have little to no experience with magic, and am not really that attracted to it, though I find it very intriguing to read magic-based threads. Like this one, though I thought a little more depth would have been nice…. Especially so since the both of you were already competent in your magic disciplines…. Also, I could not help but notice your posts are quite short, try to make them a bit longer, at least 300 words. Your first post did have over 300 words though. Just a minor point. (Don’t worry about it, it will get better the longer you stick around ) Oh yeah, if you should be interested or wondering how come you did receive Auristics xp; it’s because Ayrui gave you basic verbal lessons, which can be rewarded with xp in the case of magics ^^ Also, should you be looking for an Auristics teacher, I recommend Alses (I like meddling it seems) Questions, concerns or comments regarding your grade?
