How long does one have to be "idle" before the lovely forum decides to log you out?!
I have spent a few hours typing up a character sheet only to have this lovely "you are not logged in" message pop up on me...

-and dear god: HOW DO I DISABLE IT!?

I'm going to bed before I vent more on the forum...obviously I can retype the CS, but I want that idiotic feature disabled if possible...

Google chrome is your friend, so is Wordpad, Microsoft Works or Notepad.

I use googledocs for all my mizahar writing. i have had way too many times that my posts get deleted because i typed them right in the content block on the site. bad move! Its is best though to have an external copy of your stories regardless, so seriously think about using notepad or googledocs or something!!!

I have never actually had this problem. If I try to post, and I am somehow logged out (which is quite rare), then I just hit the back button, and the text block is still there. And it includes the entirety of my post. I use Mozilla and Chrome though, mostly Chrome. Maybe it is just some internet setting I unknowingly have?

You will be logged out if your IP address changes in more than the last octet. Autologin, which I greatly recommend unless you are on a public or insecure computer, should be able to help with that. Sessions last an hour, if I'm not mistaken. That said, the "feature" is just basic Internet security and as such isn't going anywhere. Always keep a copy of your posts in Notepad, Word or any other word processor before you post.
