Tabs not working for me?

I'm making my character and I'm trying to use tabs for the character history but I cannot get it to work. I've resorted to copy-pasting what is on the BBC Code Quick List but even that's not working, can you look at my post and tell me what I'm doing wrong? Link is bellow this sentence.

You have to use brackets like this [], not this {}
