Yes. On the gnosis lore page it is said that one needs to possess at least ten threads in which they display loyalty and faith to their god from the first mark onwards. So in order to advance to L2 from L1 you'd need ten. Once you gain your second mark you need ten more threads to get your third, and so on and so forth.
