Rook stands at 6’0 tall and is physically well-built from years out in the wild; his copper eyes with a look of maturity spanning way beyond his age. His choice of attire is a loose sleeveless cotton vest dyed red with matching breeches, which don’t restrict his movements while hunting or riding. Rook chooses to leave his blonde hair uncut like most Drykas, as a symbol of their pride. He has a long unkempt ponytail which easily reaches his lower back. He is usually clean shaven, but it’s not uncommon for him to have a thin layer of stubble. He has dark windmarks on his back but chooses to keep them concealed around other people.
Character ConceptRook’s charismatic and easy-going nature combined with his confident demeanor often makes him seem arrogant, although he is generally compassionate to most people, especially his companions and friends. His moral standpoint encompasses various shades of grey, and he is unafraid to question authority and societal hierarchy in the presence of malice or injustice. He can be a fierce opponent in melee combat with an affinity towards the use of curved blades, especially his steel falchion which he sharpens on a regular basis.
He loves a good brawl or sword-fight, constantly striving to better himself in order to protect his clan and friends. Uninterested in fighting anyone weaker than him, he can sometimes go great lengths to challenge someone way out of his power, and on one occasion paid a high price. Rook loves winning more than anything and when he does, he encourages his bested opponents to train harder and to seek him out again for a rematch if they so desire, earning their admiration.
Relying on instinct and awareness instead of negligently charging into situations, he tries to keep his ego in check while upholding his conviction that the bonds shared with your companions is precious. He feels a genuine tie towards the Sea of Grass, and living in a world where it is eat or be eaten, he believes he should maintain a balance by taking only what he really needs from the land.
Adept with short bows and fletching, Rook possesses adequate knowledge about surviving in the wilderness through hunting. Trained by huntsmen in the Emerald horseclan, he is familiar with survival skills like bleeding of fallen prey, roasting and smoking meat, and setting up roasts for spitting and grilling. Rook occasionally harness his Djed into the webbing to detect nearby prey but prefers not to constantly depend on it.
Rook dreams of the world beyond the Sea of Grass, and hopes to explore new and undiscovered lands outside Cyphrus.
