There wasn't delicious gossip circling the nest about this sacrifice, in fact it was alarming how few Dhani knew about it happening at all. Charoda were a rare, rare treat. Rarely did they venture in from the coast, and even more rare was an instance in which they could be brought to Zinrah in a living state. There was a sort of reverence about the sacrificing of a Charoda, due to their rarity. At the very least they deserved far more respect then those petching Myrians constantly multiplying and infecting the jungle wilds like a terrible plague.
So that was why the whispers about it were so hushed. The few that knew about it were loathe to share the news with anyone else, but the news got around just the same...just much more precisely.
