:: A BRIEF HISTORY :: FROM HEIR APPARENT...{Winter, 474 AV}
With the birth of Lewix came all of the pomp and circumstance naturally associated with the arrival of a first born son. A prouder father could not be found on the calm winter day; however, the boy's mother - an uncompromisingly strict woman - brought the celebration to a close far sooner than anyone had expected. It was made clear to those in attendance that she had no intention of raising a spoiled son. There would be time, much later on in life, for the heir to receive his share of hard-earned accolades, but his mere birth rank would not afford him any such perks. Lewix would have to prove his worth, just as every member of her family had in the past, and each would be expected to in the future.

Following the path of a dutiful son, Lewix more than pulled his weight within the Amethyst Clan by openly embracing his talents and, in turn, consistently nurturing his skills as a natural born weaver. This, for many parents, would have been more than enough, seeing that his delicate yet durable baskets often fetched a handsome price at market, but his mother, ever-obsessed with social status, was more often than not displeased with his achievements. Wanting him to garner a far more prominent position within the tribe, Sarella was relentless in her efforts to guide him in the direction she felt would suit him and, more importantly, their family best. Regretfully, the more she pushed, the more he withdrew, literally to the point that he became an even greater enigma to her and, in turn, a bit of a pariah to all.

Unable to let his sibling to simply fade into the background, Lewix's brother, Jes'y, did everything in his power to maintain a strong bond between the two of them. In return for such kindness, Lewix watched over the young man, albeit from a safe distance, seeing as his family wanted little to do with him. Therefore, when it came time for someone to take action against a particularly lascivious Drykas, one Zivac Ebonmoor, it would be Lewix who would not only shoulder the responsibility, but suffer the life-altering fall from grace to protect his younger brother.
Already aware of Zivac's inappropriate ways - having been on the receiving end several times before - Lewix took it upon himself to bring the man down before he could cause any additional harm. During a particularly ugly intoxicated fit, the predator foolishly made it known that a certain young man was next on his list. Lewix, unable to fell the powerful warrior himself, first alerted his sibling - who, in an effort to stop his brother from doing something he would regret, fled - and then proceeded to perform the single most sacrilegious act any Drykas could do to another.
Upon hobbling Zivac's cherished strider - seeing this as the only viable option to deeply harm the immoral man - Lewix knew he would spend the rest of his days not only in exile, but upon foot, for it was forbidden for one to ride again after performing such a heinous act. Packing what little belongings he had, the Drykas, like his brother before him, fled into the night. Irrevocably damaging the bond with his own strider, Lewix also knowingly left behind a ruined man consumed by grief - who, in turn, began to quickly develop a taste for revenge - as well as a dishonored family who would more than likely never come to know of the sacrifices their son had made to protect the children of Endrykas.
