'Finally!'

Spending the last few days plotting and brooding on that Sahovan Ring he needed to obtain, Yato was ready to play ball, and not about to play fair! The Nuit had covered the different possible outcomes of his scenarios in mind, and ended up deciding on the safest yet more brutal one for the poor Pulser who Yato had set his eyes on, Reginald Funth. Yato's mind was set, he was going to obtain that ring and make sure to cover up all loose ends in the process, ironicly this merciless stage he had set, was due to Reginald's visit yesterday. He could still remember the cheerful face on the Pulser as he opened the door and saw Yato.

"Hi there! Just to let you know I have to leave around the 18th bell tomorrow, my Master needs me at the Common Labs at that hour! Sorry, Yato, but we'll still have fun! Byeee"

A sadistic grin crept on Yato's face as he remembered yesterday, the change in Reginald was a lot more prominent than he had imagined the effect of the short meeting, a few days ago. It seemed the mere possibility of a friendly face on Sahova was enough to get the poor boy all riled up, he probably already considered Yato a friend. The fool was in for quite the surprise. It was time, at long last, to meet his 'friend'.

Stepping outside the Quarters slightly earlier than he should have, to wait for Reginald and give the impression he was so eager to meet him that he couldn't wait any longer inside his room, he left the building. But, to his displeasure, he underestimated the pathetic boy as he heard his voice shout out Yato's name as he walked towards him. The fool had beaten him there, Yato had to supress his frustration at the kink in the cable the simpleton had placed. It was a minor bump on the road though, but Yato didn't like it when his plans didn't go smoothly, at all, but he hid it fairly well. He quickly stepped towards the man and stretched his cold hand, unlike last time the cold touch of the hand didn't spook the human at all. On the contrary, it seemed the gesture and touch of the Nuit pleased him greatly.

"Hello Reginald, how are you?"

Kicking things off right off the bat, Yato had begun molding his Djed while walking up to the man, concentrating specifically upon inducing a hallucinant flash appear before his target's mental eye. This took alot of Djed with Yato's current proficiency in Hypnotism, but having prepared carefully during the days before, paid off. He didn't need to act on impulse or induce a flash on a whime, he knew what he wanted Reginald to 'see' and he focused entirely on that before releasing his Djed through the question he asked. The insertion was smooth and executed relatively well, the sudden blinking and big smile on Reginald's face seemed to indicate it was succesful and had a positive effect.

Yato had focused his entire mind on making Reginald see and feel the atmosphere of a non-existent memory. One where a friend with a face just vague enough not be recognized, walked up to him with a stretched out hand and asked him the exact same question. He made sure to envision the surroundings vaguely yet realisticly as well, birds chirping in the background with the sun blinding Reginald partially. Which also helped to cover up the faceless'ness of the friend.

"I'm alright, thank you! Except that I have to go help my Master soon..."

The mere mentioning of his Master almost made him succumb to his former depression, it almost looked as if he was about to cry, his eyes were shining like they were about to water and he couldn't help but jerk his cheekmuscles around as he attempted to force-smile the fear away.

"You alright? What's your Master like?"

Of course he knew the question was a sensitive one, Yato didn't ask this on a whim though and he was prepared enough to make the amical coward answer. As he spoke his question, he transmuted his Djed just enough to imbue his phrase with a suggestive and influential hypnotic theme. 'I trust him!', the feeling was almost visible to Yato as he spoke, he could see a thin, streaming black smokeswirls float from his mouth and entering Reginald's mouth, nose and ears. At first he hesitated still, making Yato worried to the point of it being readable on his face. Fortunately, the Pulser misread it as a sign of worry for him, for his sake, laughable! Yato's mistake proved to be a hidden blessign, as that was what convinced the man to confide in him.

"M-my Master...He's brilliant, but everything I do is no good to him; Even when I try my hardest. And he's not a man of patience...H-he punishes me...Tortures me...I try, I try, I try, I try! But it's never good, never....He has a scalpel, which he likes to use when punishing..."

Yato was shocked, mortified and oh so worried and sympathetic of the man's sorrow. Of course that's a load'a'shyke, but he pretended to be. Even going as far as placing his hand on the man's shoulder, stabilizing him and soothing him with meaningless and truthless words. After the shaking stopped, when the man regained his composure, Yato put the last piece of the puzzle before he'd go for his end goal.

"Have you tried confronting your Master, telling him you're trying your best and that he shouldn't treat you like that?"

The scoffing hmpfh from Reginald was to be expected, it was evident he wasn't going to talk back to a Sahovan Master, not if he valued his life even a little bit. But since Yato was new, the Pulser figured he'd enlighten the new Nuit of how Sahova works. He explained all about the Archmage, the Council, the Masters, the hierarchy and how everyone above you gets away with everything they do to you, how they rule your mind, body and soul completely.

Yato shook his head in disagreement, eyes closed, as he told Reginald this was not how it was. That it wasn't how the world works, the issue at hand was that the strong will never respect the weak and meek. How if you don't stand up for yourself, nobody will and everyone will step all over you until you are all used up. The only way to change it is by fighting, standing up when they push you down and walk with your head held high! The speech was simply a lead-in but it already showed effect as Reginald stared at the strongwilled Yato as if he was a Deity before him. Even nodding along at moments, the desire to show resistance and fight back was still aflame within him, even if only smouldering slightly. All it would take was a bit of rekindling

...To make him burn at the stake!

"...You're right! B-but, will you help me?!"

The question he posed was almost enough to make Yato ridicule him for the gullible retard that he was, needless to say he did not do so and used it to fuel the fire. Desiring nothing more than the Pulser going on this route, he weaved a warm smile together with a huge black lie.

"I will! I know just what to do to help you! Come with me!"

He didn't even need to use any enthralling words, he knew the man was too far gone to realize what was going on even if Yato blurted it out 'Silly beings, humans. So eager to believe...' They say ignorance is bliss, Yato's theory was far different.

Ignorance is not bliss, it is weakness, a tool for the strong and intelligence to use and abuse. Expanding upon that theory Yato's line of thought brought him to the definition of true power. Power is not knowledge, nor strength, it is the ability to make people follow your command. To Yato the best way of achieving this was through manipulation, he figured with the correct pressure on the right targets, entire nations could be swayed into one direction. That, was power!

Now at Yato's room, the Nuit and his pet 'Igor' entered before the manipulator started spinning a grand tale about how he knew of a way to induce great power of the mind, soul and heart into Reginald. A surefire way to acquire the backbone to stand up to the evil Master that was tormenting the poor lad so. All the while, silly Reginald had a veil brought before his eyes, with a mirage of grandeur and resistance shown before him. All too eager to accept this way, not thinking or asking about any consequences or side-effects, he disappeared deeper and deeper down the sinkhole.

'Cheese placed, now to make it snap!'

Yato grinned, unnaturally happy to be able to be of assistance to Reginald, but he was too oblivious of anything that didn't involve getting 'even' with his Master, to notice the trap laid out in front of him. Too distracted by the sight of the cheese, its scent overtaking his senses completely. Yato prized himself so lucky to have found this specimen, it's pathetic lack of self esteem and obvious vulnerability were just the things he had searched for in his prey.

"Sit down and clear your mind of all thoughts, doubts and dreams! We're going to get started!"

The Ring

As the unknowing subject seated himself on the edge of the bed, Yato stood before him, telling him he'll have the heart of a lion, once the Nuit was through with him. Commencing the 'ritual', Yato placed both thumbs on the man's eyelids and pushed them down gently, keeping them closed while the 4 remaining fingertips were spread over each side of the man's head. Reginald still had that retarded smile on his lips, even when the hypnotic trance started to take effect.

Closing his own dead eyes, he focused an enormous amount of Djed, to Yato's standards, in his fingertips. Slowly releasing the hypnotic tendrils from his ten digits and letting them penetrate the man's mind and soul from point blank range, the effects were to be versatile and life altering. Each fingertip's hypnothreads glided inbetween the man's mind and hooked themselves once nestled deep inside. Once the connection was made, Yato started transferring feelings, emotions, visions, commands and scenes all into Reginald's feeble brain.

The thumbs placed on the man's eyes served as the catalyst to induce visions and scenarios to be played out before the man's mind eye. While the fingers on the sides of his skull served as the shotgun to fire blast after blast of emotional surges and forced thoughts into the dummy's psyche. But not before the connection dazed and hazed the man's mind enough to let the real fireworks do their job. Once the lulled mind of the man was prepared, he started sewing the hypnotrance together.

He had to use all his hypnotic threads of Djed at the same time to ensure the best effect. Or at least his thumbs and some fingers in conjunction. First he showed a vision of standing up to his faceless Master in a blurry lab, evoking feelings of anger and strength as he showed a scene of shouting and even pushing his Master away, of course without retribution.
Afterwards he showed him a vision of his Master accepting Reginald as an equal and placing his hand kindly on his shoulder, at the same time Reginald could feel happiness, pride and and safety coarsing through his mind and body.

These kind of visions repeated themselves from time to time, inbetween the whispers that forced strength of mind and willpower. The whispers eventually lead to loud voices in Reginald's mind as he started to straighten his spine and put on an angry face, balling his fists and seemingly ready to take the fight to the Master.

After about half an hour of heavily influencing Hypnotism on Yato's puppet, he released him slowly from his grasp, making sure to have the thoughts and feelings still surging through him , be morphed into a dreamlike state where he was lost in the dreamscape as he started to topple over sideways, onto the bed. Once fully passed out, Yato removed his hands from the man and eyed his ringfinger, right up to the moment he slid the Sahovan ring off of it and placed it in one his coat's pockets. The man still sound asleep, Yato waited for the man to wake up for the finishing touches. The smile on his face had no resemblance at all to the warm and kind ones he showed Reginald so often. It was one of pure egocentrical content and sadistic pleasure of his toy's inevitable demise.

It took the man several Bells to recover from his artificial slumber, but once he did so, he was a reborn man. No longer was the weak and cowering Reginald present, only a strong and fiery willpowered man stood before him. It didn't take long for Yato to send him on his way to his Master, to 'put him in his place'.

...The only place someone will be put in, is Reginald in the Dungeon's cellars!

As before DETAILS! There were more now definitely toward the end, but the first couple of posts were still lacking a bit on the intent and sensations bit. More details=more points! Personally I think the level of manipulation you used on the poor guy is a bit beyond your reach at the moment, however, for the story purposes it actually works really well. Be more aware in the future though that you double check what is and is not within your reach. At 30 points you are just starting to learn how to put someone in a trance state, so its doubtful you could completely 180 their personality. Remember to keep it a bit more realistic in the future!
