Home of the Konti people, this ivory city is built of native konti stone half in and half out of the sea. Its borders touch the Silverwood, and stretch upwards towards Silver Lake, home of the infamous konti vision water. [Lore]

Kavala was eager to bring her new friend into camp to meet Matthew and start on the lessons they had planned. Alaia had agreed to meet Kavala after their last classes near the entrance to the park. There, the two girls could head to what Kavala was calling her cove camp and start the lessons. Only, Kavala had plans to not wait until then to start the lessons. She was awaiting Alaia at the gates to the park with Windsong in tow when the other Konti arrived.

The buckskin stallion was impatient. He knew the beach was forthcoming and that meant a run or two either loose or under a rider and it also definitely meant a roll in the sand which was one of his favorite things to do. Kavala was lounging in the shade, enjoying the Vian Trees - something almost every Konti took advantage of - while she waited. She had a heavy pack of groceries she'd picked up for a sort of celebratory feast that night she was hoping to talk Matthew into cooking. He wasn't the greatest cook, but he was not satisfied with his current level and that meant that he pushed the envelope for new and unusual foods and fare so Kavala had thought to challenge him with some pork steaks, a ton of new herbs that were said to be good for cooking, a full flask of wine, and a new sort of game that was sticking out of her pack.

The game consisted of two rackets and a small device called a birdie. There was also a net one had to stretch up that could be used for the rackets or for a second game she had that was made up of a pigskin ball. Kavala had a list of the rules from the vendor and was hoping the three of them could play a game or two before or after dinner when they grew tired of the other lessons.

Matthew would be meeting them at the camp or maybe they'd run into him in town or out of it. Kavala wasn't sure. But either way she was excited to get going on their language, riding and cooking project. She only hoped she'd gotten enough ingredients for Matthew to try to slap something together for them for dinner.

And The Duo Becomes The Trio

The day had gone by painfully slow after she left Kavala in the gardens. Alaia only had one afternoon class and she had paid attention but every now and then she found her mind wandering to the new friend she had made earlier that day. Finally class was being dismissed and she could wait no longer she gathered her notes and shoved them in her bag only to rush out the door before most of her classmates had stood. The Konti was grinning as she made her way home first so that she could drop off her school bag. As she skidded into their home her mother was there preparing the food she would cook for dinner. Her sisters were scattered in another room, she could hear them talking and giggling the way girls did and she shook her head not letting it bother her like it might any other day. “I’m going to be out tonight…” She kissed her mother’s cheek as she brushed by the older Konti.

She barely noted the nod her mother gave her as the woman hummed softly to herself and deboned a fish. Stepping into her bedroom Alaia dropped the pack on her bed and pulled put the contents so that it was empty and she could proceed with filling it with fresh paper and some ink to write with. If they were going to learn Kontinese they were going to need to learn to write it as well and so she figured she’d bring the supplies just in case they got to that portion of the teaching. Verbal would be first, and then written once they grasped the basic of the spoken language. Looking around her room she tried to think of anything else to bring but her room was pretty sparse, she never really kept it full of anything except her drawing supplies and school notes. Just for the heck of it she grabbed her charcoals as well figuring she could draw on some paper if she had the urge to create something.

Exiting her room she gave her mother a wave, pausing to steal an apple from a basket, and then she headed to her meeting place with Kavala all the while wondering how the evening would go and not a little bit nervous of meeting the Drykas-Konti’s friend since Alaia wasn’t exactly a social butterfly. The entrance to the park wasn’t far so the trip only took a few chimes for her to walk and when she arrived her eyes first lit on the beautiful horse that was waiting by a Vian tree. Smiling Alaia then turned her eyes to look for Kavala before spotting her sitting upon in the shade of the beautiful fruit tree.
“Is this your …” she searched for the word not quite remembering if there was a special name for the horse or not so she settled lamely with her next words “…horse?”

“He’s Beautiful.”
She offered in awe and with a smile before digging into her pack and pulling out the apple she had taken from her kitchen “Does he like fruit?” She held the apple out in front of her to show Kavala her healthy treat though she kept her distance in case he couldn't have the apple, and because she was a little nervous. She had grabbed it in hopes it might make the horse like her though in truth she hadn’t exactly expected to see the equine so soon. She thought they would walk to him and she would be able to get her nerves up about riding for the first time on the walk but since he was here she watched the summer sun reflect in the shine of his mane. “What’s his name?”
