Concept. it has only just begun. It had been a year since her return to Mizahar, her sundering from the Goldenlands, and Yra's knowledge of the unfamiliar world she left behind long ago has grown vastly. She's known confusion again, loss, the thrill of near death and rescue. Her first days were like dreams, strewn in gold strings and played lovingly by gilded fingers. Days after her fall, after the sea of faces had stopped spinning and stopped staring, Yra met one of her own; another from the Goldenlands that she had thought was as lost as she. It might have been a fit of delirium, of sun stroke, but he was painfully real when he'd touched her. He was the catalyst of revelation; Yra knew now that Syna had released more of her kind, and seasons later she would learn that Leth had done the same when she'd been at hand during the arrival of another, a young one like her. Yra lived in the belief that they'd been brought to Mizahar for a purpose for a season, dreaming of what hers might be. Would she save the Rivarians she made her home with? Would she master the sea with the strings of a violin, or tame the sunlight itself? There was a darkness in Riverfall for several seasons that devoured the grandeur of that particular delirium. It ate at her for weeks, for ages, and she felt old and tired, resentful and lost. The cold of winter sapped her energy, the budding chrysalis that was spring only pushing it back, holding it at bay before she became something she didn't wish to be. And in the end, Yra swallowed herself in the summer and ate the doubt, the bitterness, and the sunlight.
