First off, seasonal challenges are totally optional. Don't think you are forced to complete them. However, if you do complete them, you get a shiny medal!
Seasonal Challenges are useful in many ways. Even if you don't plan on completing them for the medal, there are still threading ideas for you if you run out of any. They are listed by month, however you do not have to complete them in their assigned month. As long as the goals are done and-turned in before the end of the season, they will count. You can complete your challenges in solos, collaborated threads, modded threads but you cannot-complete them in flashbacks.
