History
Just over a decade ago, a man of the sea encountered the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Whilst sailing abroad on a simple merchant voyage, his stop at Zeltiva brought him in contact with her; and he simply could not get her out of his mind! He pursued her, with all of his might, and by a stroke of luck she found him charming. Over the next couple years, they shared a love more passionate than the Sun itself; which ultimately resulted in the ultimate blessing. Born six years prior to the present, Cecilia Ambrose entered the world into the loving embrace of her parents. During those days, the small family felt as though they were living in a dream; but it was only a matter of time before the fairy tale took a sharp turn into the pages of reality.
For Cecilia and her father, this change came as a sudden, cold slap: for a sudden illness befell Cecilia's mother. What began as a simple lump soon grew into an ailment that robbed the infant of her mother. At once, depression crashed down upon Cecilia's father, driving him to seek solice in the bottom of a tankard. If not for the watchful eye of their neighbors, Cecilia would have been practically left to fend for herself! As time moved on, her father's addiction began to affect Cecilia's physical wellbeing; for he barely worked at the docks enough to feed her. Eventually, desperation settled in, and the young girl had no choice but to brave the marketplace in order to steal. Having never done so before, her first attempts failed miserably and resulted in hand outs...
Until she met Nickolai.
He was an older and much more experienced thief than she; and shared the same survival needs to boot! However, he was far from being completely self-serving. Nickolai showed her everything he knew about swiping food from the marketplace stalls; and the two became fast friends. In fact, they were each others' only friend and came to rely on the other quite heavily to get by. As they grew older, Nickolai began to step into the realm of bonafide larceny: breaking and entering simply because he could. This was something that did not exactly sit well with Cecilia, and as such she applied her "skills" in a different manner. For a copper miza here and there, she began to carry groceries back and forth for the elderly individuals of Zeltiva; before eventually becoming a full-fledged Courier.
However, when Nickolai decided that it was time for a change of scenery, she abandoned this occupation and followed him. After all, there was nothing tying her to the city save for a drunk who lived at the tavern. She followed Nickolai across the regions, ultimately settling in at Kenash. There, she aspires to resume working as a Courier and hopes to keep her one and only friend from getting into too much trouble.
