[Markus Andres]

Markus noticed how the girl reacted to his presence and his obvious affiliation with the knights from Syliras. It was a good sign that she was in fact the fugitive they were looking for. Her comment that she had to leave early the next morning made Markus smile a little. Then the other guy butted in and Markus turned his attention to him, because he was actually walking directly at Markus.

"True, I apologize, I am a mere Squire so I haven't been assigned to any branch yet." Markus said as the man kept going in his direction. He was unsure how to react, should he draw his blade or not? Was he trying to get in close so he could stab Markus. He didn't like this situation one bit. Markus decided to stay calm, he had good reflexes so he might be able to react to any attack. He prepared every muscle in his body to jump away should he make any sudden moves. But he just walked past him without attacking. Markus would step forward to get some additional distance when he had just stepped past Markus.

"Now, for why a Knight, or rather, squire is out here." Markus said, facing the young black haired girl. "That is a good question." Markus said, hinting at the elephant in the cave. Markus sent a glance back where the man had walked, making sure he wasn't just standing some 10 feet away eavesdropping.

"Why do you think I am out here?" Markus said walking closer to the girl, until he stood some 6 feet away from her.

[Diane]

Diane let her thoughts to fly away,looking at the flowers down and then at Syn,slowly some faint words passed by and were like an echo inside her head.John decided to leave,passing by the Knight,she turned her face at him while the Knight was saying some words.Indeed didn't payed to much attention at his words,moreover needed to think fast how she will handle him now that they were lonely.

"I..nmm I don't know.You wanted to escape from the busy life from behind the Gates?"said to him with a shaking voice,begun to feel nervous in his presence and really didn't liked that fact that they will be alone for a few hours.

"Or..you are just out for a walk?maybe looking for someone.I heard that the laws are very strict there.."continued to speak,looking at him as he got closer to her and the color in her eye turned deep icy-blue.She was scared,Syn could feel it to moving his ears nervously."I..nmm anyways will be heading home soon,it's a long journey." said once again Diane and stood up,looking straight at the Knight feeling her blood pumping more in her veins.

Markus could hear how the fear crept up in her voice as she responded to his question. Of course, she could just be afraid of him of other reasons than her being a criminal. It was dark and he was rather large and intimidating. He felt kind of bad for the girl, here in the darkness. But he had a duty and he didn't even know what she had stolen and he couldn't know if she was dangerous. But she didn't look dangerous. But appearances could deceive. Markus stepped around her, checking her body for any bulges that could be a concealed weapon.

"Bingo. Spot on, out looking for someone." Markus said with a calm voice. Not trying to agitate her, she was obviously already scared of him. "To be more precise, out looking for a young lady-thief." Still with the same calm voice.

"And the laws might be strict, but the punishment fits the crime..." Markus said after going full circle around her and her horse. He also checked the horse for additional weapons. But he only spotted the short bow, which at this distance would be useless.

"So, what drove a young pretty girl like you to steal?" Markus said looking her directly into the eyes. He finally done with playing around with the girl. This was serious, if people just thought they could steal valuable stuff and get away with it, then they were wrong.

[Diane]

Diane was froze in place and time.The time stopped around her,only could hear the loud heart beats of her like an echo,is words reached very well her mind and tried to find the right words.
"I..See,you got a point there."said shortly and maintain her voice calm,and clenched her hands together as he went in circles around her and Syn.Indeed this night will be a long one,or maybe it won't even last to long according to the fact of that she got discovered by him.NO turning back now.

"I was about to pay for that..hmm I just..it was something of the moment."said Diane looking back into his eyes,with the color of her iris changed into a rather dark color,showing her seriousness and yet anger."You can eve have the water back..I didn't drank any in like 3 days,neither my horse.It was a very long journey..I am sorry.."said looking a bit away,as a sign of an apology and stepped closer to Syn.

She knew it couldn't use the bow,there was to short distance between them..but also could just jump on Syn and ran off.However,she gave deep thought and decided that running wasn't the best solution,and didn't planned to be a fugitive for the rest of her life.

"I know that I got no excuse..but,it's just water.I didn't stole gold not precious things..!" said getting agitated and sighed deeply,letting her body to fall into the grass near her horse."I am sorry.."mumbled once again.

Markus honestly hadn't expected her to react that way. And he certainly hadn't expected to see her eye color change. When he saw her eyes he really just wanted to scream 'cool', because it was the first time he had ever seen something like that. But the situation wasn't right for such outbursts. The third thing that surprised Markus, was when it was revealed that she had only stolen water. Water. WATER. Markus had fallen off of a horse, stumbled through the night... In search of a water stealer? It wasn't like they were living in a desert and water was actually valuable. He felt a stab of annoyance and new found reason to pity the girl. She had stolen out of need and not greed. Markus stepped in closer to catch her when she fell to the ground, before a small voice of reason told him that it might be best not to trust her word like that.

"Are you alright? Need a hand?" Markus said offering her his right hand so he could pull her up into his arms. It would be very weird, and Markus knew he would be very vulnerable the second she got up, but he hadn't sensed any hostility from her yet. "So you just panicked and decided to hide up here? Without drinking the water, even though you haven't drank for how long?"

[Diane]

Diane just let herself to fall,but so it seemed that the knight didn't seemed so bad as offered his hand,she touched his hand still insecure of the situation.She couldn't afford to just yet trust this guy,after all he was after her "the Water Thief" and didn't felt indeed to comfortable around him,right now.

"I..am fine."said on a low tone and then lift her face to be able to look at his eyes,letting the color of her eyes to get into a pale blue."ye-ah..not such a good idea,huh? And,yes I drank a little now.I will be fine by morning."said to him,and backed down a bit taking the coat over her,from Syn closing it with the buttons.
I don't know about this guy..should I trust him?I really don't know what to do and how to react..geezz!this is a mess indeed. gave a small thought Diane,looking again at the Knight,releasing a soft sigh.

"so..am I going to jail?Should we fight..as you chase me down for the water?"asked him rather serious,yet still not very sure of her words nor actions.The wind made a small blow and Diane's hair begun to fly around,along with the rustle of the leaves and the flowers,the grass.Silence set upon them as it got dark already.

Markus helped her up and noticed that her eyes turned into a pale blue. By now he was really wondering what was wrong with her eyes. Was it magic? Preparation to throw some sort of spell on him? Markus stepped away from her when he had pulled her up and kept his eyes on hers, trying to determine if it was some sort of birth-defect or the lack of lighting playing a trick. Markus was still quite annoyed that he had spent this much time, no not spent, wasted this much time chasing down a water thief.

"Woah woah, relax. I should hope you won't fight me because of water..." Markus said, he didn't like the idea of fighting the girl, especially since he knew it wouldn't much of a fight. Unless it was magic she was preparing. "And you will only makes things much much worse by attacking a member of the Syliran Knights..."

"Don't get my wrong, stealing is wrong, but it was just water. The punishment will be very light, if any at all." Markus said taking a glance at the sky. It was getting dark. "What do you say we camp here for the night and tomorrow we go to Syliras and you return the barrel along with an apology and a small coin and you will probably never hear of it again." Markus said, offering the young and scared girl a way out of her trouble.

[Diane]

"Hnm..sorry I got all worked up.I apologize,really."said Diane on a calm voice and took a deep breath from the nice,fresh air "I am not planning to fight you anyways,not very good with fights..as it isn't my very strong point."continued Diane with a small smile,as herself looked over to the sky listening to the soft rustling of the wind,as he words seemed vanishing away.

"Yeah..sounds good,still I would say not to stay very close to each other."said to him with shade of deep icy eyes and sat down on a near rock,sighing to herself and slowly rise her face again at the Knight.
"I will do that,after I get my horse some water and then we will be heading home..long way." with a serious tone,getting a bit pensive about all this as if this may be the only way,only if she doesn't like to get into these kind of situations,but for now that was the only thing she could possibly do.

Markus particularly noticed her emphasis on them not staying very close to each other. Was he really that disgusting? Or did he just lack charm all together? He brushed those things aside and let the girl continue talking. Markus liked that she decided to do as he said, it was also the easiest thing for Markus, that meant he didn't have to keep such a close eye on her. Not that he would let her out of sight. He walked up to her and reached out with his right hand. Offering a handshake.

"The name is Markus by the way. And you keep talking about home, where is home to you?" Markus asked, because he had always been interested in traveling, being trapped in a castle for most of his life had done that to him and he actually enjoyed being out here outside the castle's thick walls. Even if he felt vulnerable, but that was partly because he didn't have his trusty shield by his side.

[Diane]

Diane's face turned once again at him,with a small sigh and took his hand for the shaking.Still wasn't very sure about this person before his eyes,he had been doing his job and caught her after all.He was good,there was no doubt in that fact.For now the situation seemed good and not the tease.

" Cool name,Markus.I am..Diane and my horse is Syn."with a smile,the color of her eyes remained the same,only making small shades of the dark-blueish color.
"Well,we can set up the fire and then we can talk in the meantime."said to him getting up once again and took a quick look around them,for something to start a small fire.Diane rise one of her eyebrows,turning back to the man with a small grin stepping closer to him,at just a few inches apart from one to another.

"I think in the way back there..must be some branches that we can use for the fire,if you got any other ideas,bring them on."continued to speak,looking at his face now more at his eyes actually.
"ok,I can start telling you about my home and such,if you help with the fire,what you say?"asked him letting out a small giggle,passing by him and walked behind to see something that might be useful.

"I am from Avanthal.The City of never ending winter and I mean..snow,snow,icy winds all the seasons.I can't complain,I love snow very much and the aurora..it's such a beauty.You should see the colors.." said with sparkling,deep purple eyes to him.At least one thing was for sure,she could tell him a little bit about her home,the Holds and about the race.Hopefully he won't freak out or something,and if he did..Oh,well to bad then.
