She saw his arms passed through her form in an attempt to hug her and her gaze closed for a brief moment, as not for the first time that day, that she wished she could feel the embrace of another. Silently she listened to his words as they fell from his lips and she bowed her head. Indeed, her life had been stolen from her grasp, forcibly taken with brute force and for that, she mourned. Their goal had been to return to Zeltiva rich, that was after she had sailed the Suvan Sea. She knew that she was right, bringing more death wouldn’t change a thing, but the moment that he began to speak of living for the both of them, she couldn’t help but smile softly. He was like that in a way, always being able to make her smile, even when she was torn up about something that she had felt so strongly about. He just had a way with words really, when he was thinking clearly that was, for she had found that he could often be brash and needed a gentle hand and a clear mind to help him see reason. She was glad that she could still do this for him.
She almost wanted to think that she had control of her own life, now that she was a ghost, but her human one had been so easily taken from her and so she wasn’t so sure that this one couldn’t be taken from her as well. She didn’t know all the ups and downs of being a ghost. She knew that she could do a couple of things, but even that took a lot of effort on her part, slowly Nick would stand back and the young ghost turned to view him a soft smile curving her lips as she heard his final words. Yes she snuck food from their pantry many times for him, but that was only because she didn’t like to see him starve. ”Mother would ask where some of the food went, but she always knew where, I wasn’t exactly the best thief of all time, she tolerated it though.” Slowly, she angled her head slightly to the right as she pondered his words, even if she did managed to stay, wouldn’t it be grim to keep a ghost around? He would be constantly cold whenever she visited him and not to mention he probably wouldn’t get used to the simple fact that she no longer needed doors to walk into a building.
Shalita then glanced away for a moment, a sigh upon her lips, now that she had stumbled upon her childhood friend there was no way that she would voluntarily leave him, not now. Her pale blue gaze focused back upon him and she nodded her head. ”I will stay Nick, if only to look out for you. The gods know that you do tend to get yourself into a lot of trouble. However, I don’t know everything there is to know about being a ghost, so if I disappear for some reason, it’s because something happened.” She managed a smile as she ran a hand through her hair, ”Hell I don’t think that anything can hurt me, but I could be wrong. Just because I haven’t stumbled across anything, doesn’t mean that it isn’t out there. However, I will stay for as long as I can.” With that she gave a final nod of her head.
