Race: Human - Inarta/Drykas Gender: Male Age: 19 Birthday: Day 1 Spring, 496 AV. Birthplace: Alvadas
Current Occupation: Freelance Mercenary (does everything from odd-jobs like lost-pet-finding to joining Zith-hunts; his skill and sharp mind have made him infamous in roguish circles). He is currently looking for a "real" job; one in which he can exercise his strategic mind and quench his thirst for adventure and thrill.
Appearance: When compared to the enormity of the surrounding Akalak of Riverfall, human Gillie appears quite small. He stands at 5'9", and is of thin frame. His build boasts skilled, ropey muscles, but these are less-than-intimidating. Consistent with his father's Drykas-blood, Gillie's mop of hair is black and curly, with two strands braided and beaded near the front. He possesses one streak of red (thanks to his mother's Inarta-blood) in his curly hair, though this is often missed at first glance. His skin tanned with time. His face still retains some of its childish charm (he continually dons a smirk that his mother, before her passing, always found adorable), although his jawline has matured in recent years. He has a small birthmark on the back of his right hand which he insists is wyrm-shaped, though the jury's still out.
Perhaps the most interesting feature of Gillie's appearance, however, is the peculiar coloration of his eyes. His right iris is golden, and his left is a deep green. This could be due to the vast coloration-potential of the Inarta meeting and mixing the blood of a Drykas.
Character Concept
What Gillie lacks in size and brute strength, he makes up for in wit, cunning, and agility. An impish character with a knack for sarcasm and a mind for strategy, Gillie poses a very real, very unpredictable threat both on and off the field of battle. He's smart and street-savvy, so generally speaking, he can read people like books and act/react accordingly. He is a quick thinker, and light on his feet, practically tailor-made to combat clumsy, brutish foes despite his small size.
Gillie does not play well with others, preferring to work alone unless he is clearly the one in charge. He is bossy (very much so), and despite being able to crack a joke, is not generally very well-liked by those who have worked alongside him. He also has a tendency to overlook people in favor of accomplishing a task. Driven to a fault, some might say.
Gillie himself does not know what his true full name is, as "Gillie Dhu" was a pet name his mother used for him before she died in 501 AV. He knows only that "Gillie" is short for "Gilliam," a name given to him by his Drykas-father (whom he never met).
His dream is to one day command an army.
Character History
Gillie Dhu's fiery-haired mother (an Endal Inarta of the Wild Harriers named Lorila) met the Drykas man (one Artair--though his Pavilion was never known to Gillie) who would sire him while on an extended trade trip to Endrykas. There the two met, clashed with equal stubbornness, and fell in love as a result of a heated, passionate encounter. Lorila became pregnant as a result of the night spent with Artair, though this she did not discover until some weeks later, after having returned to Wind Reach.
When Lorila found out, she sought to return to Endrykas, but was forced to stop in Alvadas, city of illusion, due to a snowstorm early that Winter. It was here that Gillie was born on the 1st Day of Spring, 496 AV. After some recovery, his mother set out once more to meet with Artair again. When she, her Wind Eagle, and the newborn found him, they discovered that he had been severely wounded in a hunt by wild Glassbeaks, and was in a medic tent in Endrykas. Knowing his end was near, he gave Lorila all he had to provide for herself and the newborn boy (including a gladius which Gillie now wields). He named their son "Gilliam," a name meaning "protector."
Artair died. Lorila now sought to return to Wind Reach, but stopped in Riverfall, which was near the traveling Endrykas at the time. There she was offered work (as women are hard to come by!), and so bid farewell to her Wind Eagle. She raised young Gillie for a time, but eventually died as a casualty defending the city during the Winter of 501 AV, leaving her son alone. He disappeared into the shadows of the city, a street rat, and carved out a mischievous, survival-of-the-sharpest lifestyle for the next thirteen years. He learned very quickly that petty theft (and skills such as lock picking) could keep one alive if one stole only a little here and there--just enough to survive.
He learned also that he could outsmart most people his age, and use his natural-born wits to thrive in the city of Riverfall. He has spent years practicing both sure-footedness (for the rocky cliffs of Riverfall are treacherous) and nimbleness. His knack for acrobatic movements and agility are a result of necessity. He needed a way to get out of harm quickly, and also to move across the city unseen at times (primarily at night), so he spent years honing his climbing, leaping, and landing skill. He has also managed to talk his way out of numerous fights (usually in taverns after making a snide remark), and has found ways to maneuver around an opponent with words.
All the while, he has honed his skill with a blade. Just in case.

She is meek and not very strong, but determined to reacquire her brother's necklace from his killer. For this, she has enlisted help. After her brother's necklace is regained, she plans to flee the city for good.

She's also a skilled seductress and has at times devoured small, seduced human men.
