Where There is Heart

"Oy! Bring it on over this way!" One of the older workers of the sight barked as several of the men carried about logs and other essentials, the noise that filled the cool crisp air was that of loud confident bangs and clanks, as the community of Zeltiva banded together to restore what they could of the University. Such hard times. Yet it was the moments that followed after them, that really seemed to bring the people of the city together as a whole. A unit. Such was the reason why Ricky had decided to show up today, though he was just about as clueless as every other person who volunteered for. Seeing as how he was one of the larger men in the area, Ricky was given the task of carrying large things around like beams and poles, generally any given material thing that was essential in the rebuilding of Zeltiva's glorious learning center.
"What a petchin mess!" He sighed as he ran his fingers through the backside of his hair, a kick at the loose rubble that resided next to a larger pile. There were quantities of it to be sure, all which needed to be picked up and cleaned out, hopefully some of it would be purposed in the restoration rather than trashed.
"Maze! We need you to help carry these beams over there!"
"Yea yea, Oi'm comin." He assured the fellow that called to him, he was rather aggravated with how easy the man could bark orders. Then again this man was one of the brains of the operation, so to question him in this event was rather pointless really. Ricky walked on over to the pile of beams as several other workers and volunteers managed to pick up a beam, and in turn with a bit of effort Ricky himself found a way to position the heavy thing onto his right shoulder, and lift it up as he straightened out with a grunt. It felt heavy sure enough but nothing he couldn't handle, he was after all a hardened fisherman who served in the Wave Guard. "Where t' mate?"
"Over there, towards the wall. They need more support beams to hold up the stonework." The burly individual pointed and Ricky looked in the general direction towards the wall, much of it looked to be burned or molded into something different. It was strange to look at actually, yet it was all in part of the mages. Those who escaped had literally shaped and twisted things to their will, they did the one thing they wanted to do and in turn wrought destruction on the place every Zeltivan called home.
"Roi, got it." The fisherman nodded as he headed on over, a sweat already started to break over his brow. He hadn't been here long but already put to work, he found that he was serving his part in the community. Zeltiva needed it's strongest and smartest about, those that were bound to help in reconstructing the University were welcome after all.
