Taloba, home to the Myrians, is the thriving core of Falyndar. Inhabited by a fierce and savage tribe where blood sacrifices are normal and a way of life, they are untamed and proud of it. Warlike, and with their numbers growing, the Myrians are set on reclaiming what is rightfully theirs. [Lore]

Syna's rays had just begun to rise up into the sky, the Myrian had already begun his journey. His club by his side, a grin on his face. The Myrian had run into his brother early one morning and had convinced him to go out hunting with him. He was more excited to spend time with his brother then to go on the hunt itself. It seemed like forever since they had talked and Akua looked to change that. He walked to the gates, nodding a sign of respect towards the guards as he walked through. His brother was waiting for him on the other side, bow in hand. Akua grinned a toothy smile and his brother returned it with a smirk of his own. "Ready cub?" Rarik said. Akua rolled his eyes and replied "sure whiner".

The two chuckled for a moment, walking the semi worn path that led to the gates before their feet touched the lush vegetation of the jungle around them. "So what are we hunting anyway?" Rarik asked. Akua shrugged and looked towards his brother. "Thought you would tell me" he said, Akua had always been one to follow. Behind his three older sisters and his brother. He was behind in many different ways, swords and bows weren't his thing as a child. They never felt right to him. He was always one to use the club. The savage way it worked pleased him. The teeth biting and tearing into anything it hit. The weight and power behind its swing. It just pleased him to no end. He was never seen without his weapon and if he was it was only during celebrations and festivals. The Myrian was called the cub with the club by his Fang and his family. The shortest Myrian and both and one of the youngest.

Rarik had stepped ahead of his brother now, his eyes scanning the scene before him. "You never think ahead do you?" he asked, his eyes glancing over his shoulder at Akua for a tick before returning to the land in front of him. "I do.... Sometimes." Akua replied turning his head to look up into the trees. The rays of Syna shining through some of them. The shadows of the massive trees covering his and his brothers body in a familiar darkness. "Besides why should I when I have the great tactics of Rari?" he said. His brother shook his head. "Your fang leader must love you" Rarik said.

Akua laughed and said "I can fight. Im the best with the club and you know it." Rarik shrugged his shoulders as they walked forward. Rarik stopped behind one of the thick trunked trees. Raising his hand up in a balled fist, signaling Akua to stop. Akua crouched low, watching for his brothers sign. Rarik peered out from behind the tree and then signaled for Akua to move closer to him. Akua moved slowly, his club in both hands as he took his spot on the other side of the tree next to Rarik. He peered around it and his eyes widened for a moment. Before them were three Nandhai, rummaging through the trees and bushed. Big gorilla like creatures with powerful arms and a nasty bite. If it were the two of them against one of the beast they may stand a chance. But with a pod of them, Akua knew it was a quick way to die.

The two remain silent. The pod seemed to not notice their presence. Rarik turned his head and looked back at Akua. The two waited for what seemed like bells, as the Nandhai slowly moved on. Pushing their way through the brush and thick trees. Akua moved to crouch next to Rarik. "Nandhai so close to Taloba? " he said, his eyes locked on where the beast had made their exits. Rarik shrugged and stood up. Walking forward again, "I've seen them close before. But it still seems strange" he said. Akua nodded, following behind his brother. It felt like the past, Akua following behind his older brother. Rarik had always been taller then him and smarter. Stronger was up for debate between the two. But Akua had alway held him in high respect. Even when they were kids, Akua looked up to his brother and how close him and Tino were.

Brotherly bonding

A sad expression crossed the young Myrians face. "Have you spoke to Tino?" he asked quietly. His brother only replied with a shake of his head. The answer was enough for Akua to understand. Nether of them had seen her since she left Taloba. The feeling inside Akua's stomach grew as he let out a sigh. He swung the club over to his other shoulder. The two walked in silence, the only noise coming from the creatures of the jungle. Rarik stopped and turned around to Akua. Their eyes locking and Akua could see that something was on his mind. The older brother looked like he was about to speak. Before his closed his mouth and turned with a shake of his head. There was silence again between the two brothers as they journey'ed through the jungle. They pushed through the brush coming out upon the muddy shores of the basin. Rarik looked at his brother who returned his gaze. "You still do not know how to swim right" Rarik said. Akua shook his head and glared towards the water. "I have no need to. I can walk anywhere in our jungle home. Myri will guide my feet and Syna will give me light to see" he said turning towards his brother.

Rarik faced his brother as well. A smirk now appearing on the older boys face. He removed his quiver, placing it on the dirt with his bow and crouched his knees. But it was to late. Akua had already dropped his club and took off into a full sprint at his older brother. Akua's feet barely catching in the mud and loose dirt. Causing his to be slower then he wanted. Rarik caught his brother by the shoulders as Akua pushed into his gut. Causing him to slid a few inches back. Rarik moved to wrap one arm under one of Akua's shoulders and another over top the other. He turned his body, using Akua's weight and momentum to flip him onto his back and for Rarik to land at his side. Laughter emitted from both of the brothers as their scrap went on.

Rarik pushed himself up and moved to pin Akua to the ground. The younger brother lifted his leg. Pushing his knee into his brothers side as he struggled in the mud to break the grasp Rarik had around his wrist. He managed to roll himself over, now pushing his older brother onto his back and into the mud. Pulling one of his wrist free he scooped up some mud and pressed it into his brothers face before jumping off of him. Akua's feet caked in mud he looked at his brother with a grin. "Akua! I swear to Dira if you do that I will drown you" Rarik called out to the younger. It had been something that Akua had done time and time again. Caked his feet in mud and jumped, stomped of kicked his brother. But he was bigger now, yet Akua did not stop. He ran at his older brother, who propped himself up on his elbows. Rarik swept with his feet once Akua came into range. Causing his to fall on his butt into the mud. Akua yet out a little yelp as he hit the ground.

"Still as immature as ever" Rarik said. Akua grinned, even though him and his brother were different in the way the fought and acted. They were brothers and nothing would change that. The two had gotten along with their older sister Tinnok the best when they were growing up. Akua had felt like an outcast before he had joined the military. But his life had changed since then and now he vowed to fight for Myri until Dira put him back in the cycle. "I will say you have gotten better" Rarik said. Akua nodded a thank you before looking out at the waters again. Syna had begun her decent into the horizon. "Time to head back" Akua said. "No sense in getting caught out here just the two of us" Rarik added standing up. Nether Myrian bothered to wipe themselves of the mud on their bodies. Instead the two grabbed their weapons and started to make their way back into the camp.
