He has a well toned build which is kept up through training and strenuous riding with Fereo, his Wind Eagle. Renol has blood red hair falling down past his shoulders. When wandering Skyinarta, he wears it loose, but when riding it is always pulled back into a tight ponytail, if not braided. His golden eye color lends to the belief that he lived as a Wind Eagle in a previous life, which might explain a little about why Fereo chose him when any other of the hopefuls just annoyed him. Weighing in at 185lbs, Renol seems like he’d be rather heavy, but he doesn’t look it at all. Character History Renol was born to two artisans in Skyinarta, a Bower/ Fletcher father and a glassblower mother. As soon as Renol was born, his parents knew that he was special. The color of his hair and his eyes told of the talent that rest within him. With the fact that he was an only child in a society that regularly has twins and triplets he knew his son was special. And with eyes as gold as Renol’s, his father swore that his son would be and Endal someday. He knew it in his heart to be true. As Renol grew, it was clear that he had an affinity for birds. He always played with the birds that his parents kept and when he was allowed time away from the house he would always try to find somewhere where he could see the Endal and their mounts soaring over the skies in the harbor looking or fresh catches. His father did everything he could to encourage the boy towards becoming an Endal when the time was right, instilling in the boy that it was his destiny to become one. Renol knew that many, many other children were being told the same thing throughout Skyinarta, but there was something inside of him that told him that he really WAS destined for greatness. Instead of following in his parent’s footsteps, Renol sought to learn hunting and archery. His father was able to trade one of the local hunters for lessons in exchange for a new bow that he had been working on and the Hunter needed. This secured training for Renol. The youth spent several years learning hunting and tracking and archery as well as swordplay. Soon, he was working as a ‘double’ on the hunts that the Endal would go on, riding on the back of the Wind Eagle with his bow and arrow, helping with the hunt to bring in more food. He quickly learned a keen eye for hunting and a keen aim for the bow. But he was never too proud of himself. He was a humble of his own skills as they developed. But then came another season and the fledgling Wind Eagles found their own Aeries and the hopefuls went out once more to attempt to bond with the creatures for the chance to become an Endal. Renol has skipped several that he could have attempted before, instead he had focused on his hunting and tracking and riding skills more than anything else. He had wanted to be sure that he would be ready for the task when he becomes bonded to his Eagle. But something about this season caught his attention. He took his leave from his classes and ventured out to the aeries to try and find the eagle that seemed to have caught his attention. He was drawn to a particular aerie more than any others. And as he was climbing up towards it, he watch another young hopeful come scurrying out of the small cave, chased out by the high pitch screeches of the eagle inside. Renol continued, undaunted, towards the opening. As he stepped into the cave he was greeted with only a stare. The Eagle sat there, silent for a moment as it watched Renol. Renol only stood there, motionless and stared back to the bird, unafraid. The bird tested Renol with several quick lunges forward, testing to see if he would flinch, but Renol stood his ground, not even breaking eye contact with the creature. It was from that point on that the bonding started. Slowly, the Eagle, by the name of Fereo started talking to Renol, and vice versa, each individual opening up to the other. They stuck together for months on end, never leaving each other’s side for more than a little while as they developed their bond and their friendship together. It has been six years since their bonding and the pair have been coming along very well. Renol’s parents are overjoyed at their sons achievements.Recently, Renol’s father gave him a new bow that the man had been working on for some time, proud that his son will be able to use his bow to bring food to Skyinarta. Renol and Fereo are seen as a promising pair within the Endal with vast amounts of possibilities ahead of them. Within the last few years, the pair has taken to traveling the long journey away from Skyinarta, when skies are clear, to hunt for more rare game that the Inarta are not able to get as regularly, bringing back deer, cows, elk, and even the occasional bear for the city to eat.

Name: Fereo Species: Wind Eagle Sex: Male Age: 12 years Personality: Fereo can be a very bleak creature at times, sometimes to the point of downright pessimism. Fereo has had a tough life from the beginning, being seen as a weakling in his youth. But he is also fiercely loyal and protective of Renol. He helps to guide his rider just as much as his rider helps to guide him. He distrusts anyone but Renol, even other Inarta to some degree. But any friend of Renol quickly becomes a friend of his as well. Fereo is also a very proud eagle, despite his demeanour. He can be very arrogant and bull headed, but he won’t be humbled so it is best to just let it pass and then continue on from there. Likes: Fereo likes wild game. Fish and sea mammals and nice and all, but he would much rather go after land based animals, even if it is a longer flight. As long as he gets back to Skyinarta within a few days, he really doesn’t mind. He likes to be clean as well, and his is picky about that. He will go great lengths to wash himself after a messy kill. Dislikes: The creature doesn’t appreciate being touched by anyone other Renol, even other Inarta. History: Most of the hopefuls had already given up on trying to bond with Fereo. The fledgling attacked anyone who moved to touch him at all and tossed several of them from his aerie. The creature was always very quiet when new hopefuls came around, looking to see what they would do and how they would approach him before he reacted, usually with at least a little hostility. He was seen as being ‘too much trouble’ and ‘not worth it’ when there were many other fledglings to try ad bond with. But Renol was different for some reason. When Renol came into the aerie, he didn’t speak at first, he didn’t approach the eagle. He waited as he watched the creature, never flinching from eye contact or a quick lung forward. So Fereo gave him a chance. After a short while, the two were bonded. For the first several months, the two rarely did anything without the other being there as they developed the bond and their friendship.
