Desired Job: Guard. Specifically, acting alternately as a guard over a smuggler's goods, as a bodyguard for the smuggler himself, and perhaps also as a semi-mercenary when needed. Start of Employment: Sometime around the 65th-70th. Suggested Wage: I'd probably bump the guard wage down to 4 gm, since Deltan's not good at unarmed combat. He's mostly useful with a sword. Relevant Skills: Flux, hypnotism, and Weapon: Short Sword. Since Deltan would be something of a generic strong-arm, he'd be expected to do just about anything he's qualified to do. Eventually, that might mean interrogating prisoners, if he's got the stomach for it and figures out hypnotism is pretty useful that way. Employer: Here's where you can get creative. Either pick an existing NPC in Sunberth or make up a whole new one. You don't have to be elaborate in here, but if you're going to create a new one it's highly suggested you put some thought into who your employer is. Irith Baughn. One of the many merchants of the Storage Houses, Irith Baughn is a scrawny, weak imbecile of a human being that preys on the weak-minded. He will unknowingly raise the cost of goods when dealing with ignorant consumers and will do vice versa when dealing with overly intelligent ones. Only standing at five feet and five inches, Irith Baughn is physically outmatched by nearly every individual in the city of Sunberth. While his business does not make him an overwhelming amount of fortune, he does have a decent upkeep. With this upkeep, he provides for himself and employs Vaylen Stroud, a beginner mercenary that he has perform a multitude of duties. These tasks can range from downing a rival merchant, scaring off trickster buyers, bringing in a caravan of goods from Irith Baughn's contacts, or even causing a scene somewhere in the Storage Houses so attention can be brought to Irith Baughn's vendors.
