Feathers and Wit(Tasha)

While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

As Tasha lay on the ground, trying to reach for her clothing, she felt a soft warm hand touching lightly along her ankle, checking the bone. The sudden touch may have been enough to startle the young Kelvic, but as she spun her head around, she would see Red crouched before her, looking down at her feet, giving an inquisitive feel to her ankle alone. “It’s not broken,” Red said slightly as she tilted her head, the soft light of the campfire casting a soft silhouette around her frame as only her cheeks, lips and eyes seemed to be illuminated. Red slowly looked up to her, spotting what she was reaching for. She stood up, taking the couple of paces around her and picking up the clothing and handing it to her directly. She then crouched down in front of Tasha as she began to dress herself once again. “There’s still a light sprain though. I’ll wrap it when we get you closer to the campfire and I have more light to work by.”

She then waited for Tasha to finish dressing herself and looked over her shoulder. “Jaeden?” Red then called out. “Someone needs carrying.”

Red then looked back to Tasha, still crouched before her with her arms hugging her knees slightly. It wouldn’t be long before the subtle heavy steps of Jaeden’s feet hitting the ground could be heard approaching. “Don’t worry,” Red said with a smile, “he’s clumsy too. Always running into trees and tripping over rocks because he’s staring at the clouds, or tracks, or my butt.”

“I’ll have you know that I was deciphering life’s greatest hidden meanings while I was staring at your’s and other women’s butts.” Jaeden said, his head poking around the tree as he gazed down at both Tasha and Red.

“And what great hidden meaning did you find staring at my butt?” Red then asked looking over her should and up at Jaeden with a smirk on her face.

“That one should watch where they’re walking, otherwise they’ll run into a tree, or trip over a rock.” Jaeden answered before looking at Tasha for a moment. “So what happened?”

“Looks like she just stepped on it wrong. Minor sprain at worse,” Red answered first, looking back to Tasha as she stood up, “it’ll be a little tender for a short time, but as long as you don’t put any excessive stress on it, it should heal quickly.”

“Ah,” Jaeden simple said as he looked at Tasha’s ankle for a moment before his gaze began to travel up her leg.

His attention was broken, however, when Red suddenly gave a heavy slap to his shoulder. “Don’t just stand there and gawk you tree trunk,” Red suddenly said with an amused tone in her voice, “make with the lifting. Show those arms of yours are for more than just looking good.”

“Right, right.” Jaeden said, shaking a fantasy from his head as he suddenly stepped up beside Tasha. He dropped to one knee, grasping Tasha’s hand lightly before guiding it to rest along his shoulders and back of his neck. His hands then slipped underneath Tasha’s body, on supporting the mid of her back, the other hooking under her legs, right behind her knees. With a subtle motion then, Jaeden rose to a stand again, his biceps tightening a little as he lifted Tasha’s light frame off the ground with what seemed like relative ease.

Jaeden then began carrying Tasha back to the camp, as a fire roared with the snaps and crackles of burning wood, a boiling pot with an alluring scent of rabbit meat and a few vegetables within lingering out and tickling the nose. Red stepped ahead of them and began rooting around within Jaeden’s pack before a small box was pulled out from it. As Jaeden finally covered the distance, laying Tasha down next to the warmth of the fire, Red stepped up, kneeling before her as she opened the small box, pulling out a narrow, rolled up strip of cloth.

It was useless. She couldn't get up,it did hurt rather badly;as then saw Red crawling before her and touched her wound, assuring her it was not broken.Tasha simply nodded her head at the cute Kelvic, and managed to put her skirt on,tied the small strap and grabbed her shoes and socks.A small smile crossed down her face, when Red called for Jaeden asking him that someone needs some carrying.

"Ahh..no-nooo..I can walk.!!" tried to scoop the young Kelvic, red haired girl as Red made her chuckle for a second, claiming for Jeaden that he is clumsy, running into rocks or trees cause he stares at the sky or either her butt.
"Hah..you would have thought? And yet he seemed so secure on him." said back to the young fox, until Jaeden got there, replying to the red fox about the looking over her butt, which had a meaning. He continued to say in the end..it till bring him to hit trees or rocks.

nmnm..sure they have this nice talk about butts, trees and tripping.Sure thing, they seem very comfortable with each other, which isn't a bad thing.I find it quite nice and wonderful overall.. gave a thought,as shaking her head she found herself being lifted from the ground,Jeaden's strong arms went slowly one under her back and the another one just below her knees.
"th-aank y-you." mumbled more under her breath, and put her hands around his neck with her face already in a reddish color, reflecting the color of her dyed hair. She really hope he wouldn't notice that small aspect.

this is so embarrassing!! agh..!plus he smells nice.why must he smell so damn good? This is gonna make it so hard on me,only these things can happen to me.Geez.. thought for herself, looking up with her green eyes, when they soon reached the campfire and she was already breathing heavier, for some reason her head got dizzy just when Jaeden placed her down.

"I am very sorry..I wish sometimes not to be so clumsy myself, but I guess it's in my nature for some odd reason." let out a sighed, turning her eyes from Jaeden's exposed body trying to cool herself and rubbed slightly her forehead, with Rd taking care of her ankle.

Tasha knew,it was careless of her to just look over a man's body and worse than that, made her feel that way: oddly enlightened, plus by staring at him made her to trip over. And of course, since he was such a nice guy,he did helped her up to get to the campfire,as slowly she felt the good smell of the food.Still, kept her head down for a bit, with her eyes closed and one hand was supported by the small rock with the warmth from the fire coming closer to her.

"I will try to be more careful next time,it's just..that I think the rock was staring at me or something,I swear..it looked odd and scary. That must be the reason why I tripped." said suddenly lifting her face with a smile, biting her bottom lip as the small flames form the fire, reflected over at her emerald eyes making them to seem as sparkling. At a small distance, some birds sounds were heard down to the forest and the rustle of the wind, rising some of the leaves up in the air, when Tasha's face set upon at Jaeden.
She hoped he will look back at her, just to meet his eyes for a moment. They were like her escape, felt caring and lovely, even if it would have give her loud heat beats. It was something hard to explain, but so easily to feel.

"I must say that..things could be worse right?"
pausing a bit, releasing a sigh "as for the tripping or hitting on trees, cause you get distractions,I can say that..maybe,if the distraction is just near you,it might help you.Not to be in front of you,but then again..the human eye is looking all over the place, for a wonderful thing to get "caught" by it.You know..as watching a butterfly." continued Tasha, smiling and brushed her hair from her face letting her neck skin to be seen more.It was in her nature to make more deep conversations, about even the most simple and trivial things in the world.

Syna’s light was beginning to disappear beneath the horizon of Everstone Forest as Jaeden gave a casual gaze to the fading light, releasing a pinch of herbs and spices into the stew. He then looked back to the stew pot, giving it a small stir to spread around what he had just slipped into it. “Well Tash,” Jaeden said, shortening her name as if they had been in casual conversation already for years, “in a way it not completely surprising. Your animal side is a hawk, you’re bound to be more graceful flying through the air.”

Red lightly pressed the end of the cloth along her skin, her fingers firm, but not strong in the pressure. “This will sting a little initially, but it will have to be wrapped a little tight so movement pressure while you walk won’t agitate it further.” Red explained before she began wrapping the strip of cloth along her angle, going around in front and behind, as well as along the top and bottom of her foot.

Jaeden echoed a light chuckle when Tasha mentioned a rock with an ulterior motive. “Yeah, they can sneak up on you sometimes, but it’s minor in the end. There are much worse things that could be causing you troubles out there in the end.” Jaeden pointed out as he continued to stir the stew for another moment. His gaze then finally lifted, his eyes peering past the licking flames of the campfire and the rising haze of the steam that came from the boiling stew. His gaze met Tasha’s, a encouraging smile crossing his lips.

His hand then idly reach over, grasping a wooden bowl. The small ladle within the pot was then grabbed as the contents stirred once more. “This is true, things could always be worse. A nice camp, roaring fire, the company of two beautiful Kelvic women.” Jaeden commented as he pulled up a ladle full of the stew before pouring it into the bowl. He slowly stood up, slipping a spoon into the bowl before carrying it over to Tasha and holding it out for her to take. “Some might consider that a small slice of paradise.”

“Are you trying to get laid?” Red suddenly blurted out, packing up the medical kit again.

“Why, you feeling frisky tonight Red?” Jaeden fired back as he made his way back to the pot and filled another bowl, handing it to Red.

“Time will tell.” Red simply replied as she began to eat the stew.

Jaeden chuckled, an amused look on his face as he fixed himself a bowl of stew, looking back to Tasha as he gave a slow shrug. “Well, that may be true,” Jaeden replied before taking a quick bite of his stew, sitting down, “but company aside, there are just so many things about the wilds that can grab and hold your attention.”

She smiled Jaeden.letting out a loud chuckle from her lips at his words about her being graceful.
"Hm..I guess you got a good point there.I must be more careful next time..geez." said rubbing again softly her forehead. Then her eyes stopped at Red's explications, she winced a bit getting a slight pain, when she wrapped the bandage over.Immediately a small itchy sensation crossed her body. She heard Jeaden's words once again, speaking about the rocks and continued with the assurament of other things could be dangerous of these parts.

"yeah, you never know what's out there and what is about to come from the bushes nor trees";she blushed in her cheeks hearing Jaeden making the compliment for the paradise with two beautiful Kelvi'c's,plus Red's remark made her rise on eyebrow.
"Uh..I don't know what that means..laid? I never heard of it,until now." said on confusion mode and then took the bowl from Jaeden."Thank you for the food. 'Den.I am sure it's very well cooked." smiled and smelled all over it,she took some of it with the spoon and tasted it.Of course, something was forgotten.

"ahh..my tongue..it hurts! I folgot about the pielce..ggh!" complained and stick her tongue out making wind all over it to cool it off.She smiled looking at both of them, gulping and still making wind with her left hand over her red tongue.
"The metal ball ..makes things to feel different.." tried to explain, slowly rising her face towards the sky and sighed a little. The sky was stunningly beautiful.

Jaeden and Red looked at each other with an awkward expression when Tasha inquired about what being laid meant. Jaeden rose his hand, lightly scratching at the white streak of hair that lined the back of his head. “Well, let’s stick a pin in that topic of conversation for now.” Jaeden then suggested before looking back to Tasha.

“Yeah,” Red added, wiping her mouth clean of a little stew with the back of her hand, “better to learn by actual practice what it means.”

“Red.” Jaeden said, a hint of warning in his tone as he constrained himself from making an amused expression, gazing over at Red not to poke.

“What?” Red said defensively. “It is.”

Jaeden subdued a small chuckle before slipping a spoonful of stew into his mouth for a quick bite. His gaze lifted to Tasha once again when she was found letting out a slight sound of discomfort, almost sounding like the squeak of a bird in a way. When he saw her fanning her tongue, complaining of the heat of the stew and the way her piercing made it taste off, Jaeden smirked a little. He grasped his water bottle and carried it over to her, offering her something to cool her tongue. “If it’s becoming a problem for you should have that little piecing removed,” Jaeden then suggested, “it has to be uncomfortable when you’re in your animal from.”

"Oh..nm.Practice it huh?I really am curious about it,but I guess for now,I better let it go.At least, until someone does wanna teach me or something." said with this big grin on her face.Tasha really was clueless. She looked over the stew and tried to eat some once again, looking from time to time either at Red or 'Den.

She smiled happy like, eating slowly from the bowl and shrug hearing 'Den's words about her piercing; Tasha did got used to the metal ball by now,but didn't knew exactly what to do in that situation.Indeed felt uncomfortable, sometimes it was hard to eat or even to speak..she even had her tongue swollen.

"Hm..I would to do that. But I am to scared to take it off,it hurt as hell when I got it done by my Master. My tongue was bleeding and was swollen for a few days,I didn't even ate back then..so take it of,I really don't know if it's a good idea.I will just bare with it." paused a bit and finished the food, handing the empty bowl to Red with a smile.

"Really,no worries..I will survive somehow.I am a fighter." she winked at 'Den and then sighed, when her eyes again stared over the sky.
I wonder..what it is on the other side of the hills,of this forest..Hm.maybe I will get enough time to explore with these guys, they really seem good persons, even if 'Den seems a bit overprotective and a little "weird: when it comes to females. But,then again..I guess that's part of his nature and..who am I to judge,anyways..? thought for herself and got up,still not very steady on her own feet and tried to walk over Jaeden, smiling all the way and to not fall down, reached him and looked with her emerald eyes at him. They seemed like green sparkles and put her hands over his shoulders, leaning closer..placing a kiss on his cheek, with her face blushing slightly.

"I wanted to thank you for everything up until now..and uh..yeah..that's about it." said to him all ashamed and then, her eyes looked away standing there supporting on one leg and not to loose her balance.

Jaeden gave a slow tilt of his head, eating through his stew relatively quickly as Tasha spoke of her reserve to get the piercing removed. “Well, it’s your decision of course, just offering a bit of advice in the end.” Jaeden said idly as he finished the last couple of spoonfuls of stew, wiping his mouth clean. “So long as you’re happy.”

Jaeden then began gathering all of the dishes together, setting them nearby the fire as he and Red slowly began making preparations for sleep, their routine seeming practiced and usual before Tasha’s eyes, like they had been doing such for years. Jaeden gave a nod as Tasha as gave a slow rub to his chin, looking over the camp for a moment to make sure he didn’t forget anything. “I’m certain.” Jaeden replied as he ducked into his tent for a moment, his rear sticking out as he rustled around with something from within. “Most Kelvics are natural survivors in the long run.”

Eventually Jaeden pulled himself back out, holding a small bedroll and blanket in his arm. He knelt to the ground as he began to roll it out. As he was doing so, his gaze rose from his work momentarily as he noticed Tasha stepping over towards him, being mindful of her ankle in her steps. When she stopped right in front of him, his gaze shifted back and forth, looking into both of her green eyes as she stared back into his. He felt a little tug on his shoulders, instinctively leaning forward in response as Tasha moved forward herself before a small light brush of her lips was felt upon his cheek. She then timidly relayed words of thanks, his skin turning slightly red for a moment, causing a smirk to rise along Jaeden’s lips.

He shook his head, raising his hand as his fingers were slid across Tasha’s cheek in a soft touch for a moment. “No need to thank me Tash,” Jaeden replied, “something like this is somewhat natural to me.”

Jaeden then motioned back down to the bedroll. “If you intend to sleep outside though, may as well have something a little softer than the ground. We’ll get some rest, and then resume your tour in the morning.” Jaeden explained, looking out over the sky for the night, seeing the stars scattered across the black blanket of the sky. ”Shouldn’t be too cool of a night if you stick close to the fire. I’ll see you in the morning though.”

Jaeden then gave a small kiss along Tasha’s hand before slowly beginning to crawl into his tent, kicking his boots off and slipping them to the side as he did so. As Tasha turned, she would see Red standing there, looking into her eyes. The Kelvic’s hand then rested along Tasha’s shoulder for a moment. “It’s not a cage you know.” Red then encouraged, nodding towards the tent. “And will likely be a slight warmer than sleeping in the open. Just bare than in mind. Sleep well either way though, you‘re ankle needs the rest.”

Red then slowly began to follow Jaeden into the tent, her feet kicking about for a moment before an echo of “Stop hogging the blankets you walking slab of beef,” of Red’s voice.

“No snoring tonight,” Jaeden echoed back.

"Hm..that is true,'Den.Surviving is part of the nature course." said with a small smile, noticing that he did went back into the tent arranging around there, and soon got out with a bedroll and a blanket, setting them down.

Silence for a moment. She just looked at the sky, when her eyes set again over 'Den's when he touched her cheek softly. The tenderness from it,made her heart to skip a louder beat.
"nm..I like your true nature then. It's nice and peaceful." only managed to say to him, listening to his explication over how to sleep under the starry sky and also, kissed her hand causing her to blush and just stared for a moment, watching him going into the tent. She slowly, touched her hand where he kissed it early and had this warm sensation across it.Slow, the small absent-mind process got interrupted by Red's words.

Tasha's eyes looked over Red and a smile settle from her lips, and only nodded her head for her after she could hear their voices inside the tent.
"nm..see you in the morning guys.." said on a lower tone and sat on the bedroll, pulling the blanket over her.
I really do hope that things will work out fine in the morning..that's IF I get some sleep..ah,and why is still my hand feeling warm?and my left cheek as well..agh..! I wonder what is this feeling of warmth? some of the thoughts crossed her mind trying to close her eyes, small rustle of the wind made her each time to open her eyes, and saw the stars.

After a few hours, she still was awake and got up from the bedroll, getting the blanket over her feeling all chilly.Tasha stood up and took a quick glace over the tent, bit her lip and slowly tried to walk on,getting closer making small sounds as she stepped forward on the ground's leaves.
"this is getting to cold..but the tent is.." stopped before it feeling nervous and squeezed the blanket at her chest."it's scary.." she lowered herself a bit until down to her knees and had a look inside.

"Psshtt..Red,are y-you awake..?C-can I come inside?" she sat there trembling,in the hopes that she will get a answer.Another silent moment, when some crickets were heard around there.

As Tasha echoed her question within, she would first hear a silent mutter of words that were too hindered by rousing from a slumber to be understood. A shuffling inside the tent could be heard then as the fabrics that made up the tent walls shifted and rattled from the movement within. Before long, Tasha would see a hand sluggishly reach out from within the tent and grasp her invitingly along the wrist before giving tugging motions that would lead her inside.

The inside of the ten looked spacious, more than would have been thought from the outside, it’s normal darkness illuminated slightly by the light of the fire that crept in from outside. There, Red was seated upward, her head tilted lazily to the side, her eyes closed, her arms outstretched still grasping Tasha invitingly along her wrist guiding her further into the tent. She was still half asleep, answering Tasha’s question with simple action and motion, rather than just verbally. Whatever sense Tasha would have gotten of the tent resembling a cage, likely would have been slowly diminished seeing the inviting comfort and warmth that such a thing, coupled with Red’s actions, displayed.

Along one side of the tent, Jaeden laid along his slide, Red’s and Tasha’s shadows dancing along the bare skin of his back as the blankets within draped lazily over his waist. Red was a little farther to the left, a divot of wrinkled blankets next to the area where Jaeden had slept suggesting that was where she had been sleeping before being roused by Tasha. It was soon the place Tasha found Red laying her down along, the spot still war as Tasha trailed the covers in behind her. As she laid he head down to rest, she would found Red’s hands slinking around her, pulling her in closer to share body warmth, a lazed habit of an action Tasha would discern picked up by the fox Kelvic having spent several nights sleeping in the tent with Jaeden himself.

Several chimes would pass, as Red laid there, falling fast asleep once again, her body pressed up slightly along Tasha’s, her brow nuzzling lightly into her neck. What would happen next, however, would likely surprise Tasha more as she heard a slight, quick inhale of breath echo out from Jaeden. She felt his body shift as he let out a light mutter of an incoherent speech, practically a whisper in volume. She would then see his large arm stretching out over her, feel the warmth of his bare skin draping across her frame, feel his chest resting gently along her back, his leg slightly sliding outward, crossing over her own. His hand rested along the mid of Red’s back, pulling slightly as she shifted her body forward in reaction, pulling both her and Tasha closer into Jaeden’s embrace. Then all was still again, as Tasha heard Red and Jaeden breathing in and out, felt their chests rise and fall, almost in complete unison. Their bond was practically strong enough that as they slept, their breath was one.

Another moment of silence, which soon got interrupted by the movements inside the tent, when a figure and a hand reached for her, bringing Tasha along inside the warm place in the tent. She still wasn't sure of the fact, sleeping in there but for sure seemed much warmer.Slow, still insecure Tasha got along with Red's guidance and managed to find some place around there,a small sigh escape her lips while she settled down.

It was a weird situation, since she sat down with the blanket around,Tasha felt Red's hands as if was in a huggle mode, with her hands around the young Bird Kelvic.Ok..th-his is weird! I don't know if I can sleep like this,ahh..! It's the weirdest sensation ever, maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all. gave a small thought as she tried to calm herself up,and not to completely freak out. Therefore, the small moment got even more awkward, some movements form 'Den's part rustles along the tent,as he turned to his side and got into this embrace both for Red and Tasha,in the same time.

"O-ok..this is getting weirder and weirder.I need to calm down.." said more to herself and still could hear her own heart beats, along with the breath of those two.It seem still,so peaceful and calmly.
I wonder if they both dream of the same thing or some sort..I still try to figure how their relationship works, the bond..but I can't seem to.Why is it so hard to understand it? I am sure it's a just a simple thing.. thought again,as she tried to scoop over from there, but couldn't not for the fact that was rather warm. So,in the end decided to say for a bit trying to rest as her ankle gave a slight of sting sensation.

However, more chimes have passed by and slowly, the sunlight was passing over the tent, making more light over it.It would have found,Tasha being rolled over across Red's body with her right hand and slightly touching 'Den's body as well, with her leg over the young fox Kelvic and was breathing over her side, with the head placed there.Half of her back was naked.Of course over night the skirt hadn't been in it's place and it was not completely covering her lower parts of the body, still comfortable?Yeah for sure.

"hnm..so warm.." mumbled Tasha, making another move with her hand, dreaming of eating good food and looking over the forest, rolling over more and gotten just over 'Den's body with her body pressed over his and her head sat over his chest. Her legs made room in between his.She was into this.."child like" position,as if held into protection brushing her head mover over his bare chest causing his hand to move more aside,to get more comfortable.

"mm..this feels good.So warm and fuzzy." whispered as her warm breath tickled his skin, letting her arms to be across his body as if in a hug.
"Do you wanna..stay?"~
