Thirteenth Bell
It was inevitable that Pulren would find himself standing before the massive cathedral that sat in the center of the Castle Commons. It was easily one of the largest buildings in all of Sunberth and clearly one of the oldest. It reminded him of the pre-Valterrian parts of Zeltiva. The architecture looked similar and the fact that it wasn't guarded in any way and didn't require special University permission to enter gave him just cause to investigate.Of course, once inside, it was clear that many Sunberthians had used the interior for every manner of activity, the previous majesty lost to vandalism.
It still echoed with a kind of grandeur, however, and while there was light from Syna peeking through the holes that used to be windows, it seemed safe enough to explore. He could tell that there had once been massive rituals and services in the entrance hall, as it reminded him in a way of the temple to Laviku. Much of Sunberth appeared that way; there was a history buried beneath the rubble and shanty houses. Finding what remained of one of the more solid long benches, he took a seat, wondering about the other Gods that existed in Mizahar and what They thought of him, if they did at all.
Of course, his experience was with Laviku and Zulrav, as They were most prominent in Zeltiva and were spoken to from the sailing populace. Everyone knew of Syna and Leth, as they visited once per day. The rest, however, seemed very vague to him. He thought that should he return to Zeltiva, he would probably spend much more time paying attention to his studies at the University. The world was much too big and he felt much too small in it.
