Employer: Ubiquitous isn't exactly sure where the money he receives comes from. What he knows: A hefty, scarred slave who introduced himself as Tanner pays a solid price (in his owner's stead) for those who will not be missed. Presumably, those unfortunate individuals that have been bought are broken, trained, and sold at a hefty profit.
It's part of the arrangement: Ubiquitous doesn't ask questions, and Tanner's owner keeps doing business with Zith-- Ubi get's paid, his employer's reputation remains unsullied.

Employer: Red the Elder. Pulren works as a guard for the various stalls that set up in Stumble Alley as well as working security for Red's bar, the Disappearing Drunk. When midnight approaches, Pulren aids Red in shooing people from the alley to avoid the mysterious fate of those who do not leave in time.
