Taloba, home to the Myrians, is the thriving core of Falyndar. Inhabited by a fierce and savage tribe where blood sacrifices are normal and a way of life, they are untamed and proud of it. Warlike, and with their numbers growing, the Myrians are set on reclaiming what is rightfully theirs. [Lore]

The Tenunan To those that don’t speak Myrian, it is called ‘The Weavery.” Run by Darisha of the Red Orchid, the craftsmen of the Tenunan work very hard to create brilliant designs on brightly colored fabric. Since it is often too hot to wear these bolts of cloth, they spend much of their time creating them for ceremonies and special events. Darisha is one of the few who will put herself at risk of heatstroke to wear her brightly colored designs.
The Tenunan is a simple building on the outside, with a heavy blanket marking the door to keep out unwanted bugs and parasitic Tskanna wool moths. The lower half of the building is made of smooth stones packed together with mud. Each season, the workers of the Tenunan will get together and repack holes and cracks with fresh mud to prevent the weather from getting in to their stores. It also provides a way to keep the heat of the fires inside the building to allow for dyed yarns to dry and large bolts of fabric to be wrinkle free upon sale.
Inside, there are three large hearths built into the stone walls to prevent flames from reaching up and setting the wares on fire. High above, are massive wooden beams with various pulley systems nearby. The pulleys are designed to help lift the heavy fabrics after washing to drape over the beams for drying. Normally the beams closest to the fires are used for strings, while prized designed fabrics are kept further away just in case a jumping ember decides to launch itself over the hearth. It is not uncommon for baskets to be stacked on the walls, as it is one of the more common wares sold to Taloba residents.
Darisha is the longest working resident of the Tenunan. It is her life’s work, and after hours, she can be found working on personal projects in front of one of the fires. If she sleeps, it is there among the blankets and rugs. She often says that each thread has been spun for something specific and brought together to form a story and then a life. Some of her customers take her seriously, buying tapestries for their children and adding to them during big events as a timeline of sorts. These are known as waktu and are well cherished by those that have them.
