Alcor The Ethaefal of Leth
Physical Description Name: Alcor Sex: Male Race: Ethaefal of Leth (Mortal Seeming Akvatari) Age: 3 Seasons Old Birthday: 1st day of Summer. 514 Sexual Orientation: Homosexual Fluent Language: Common Basic Language: Tukant Poor: Kontinese Appearance When the moon god Leth is in power, Alcor takes the appearance of a hauntingly surreal creature. He has flawless skin with the colour and texture of The beautiful features he possesses seem to be carved into his flesh with immaculate precision. His eyes are a sparkling violet and fit nicely on his youthful but chiseled face. Two glass horns sprout from each side of his cranium, one of which is noticeably larger than the other and has an abstract segmented shape similar to a spine. The other horn spread out along Alcor's scalp in the from of vines covered in small flowers that weave through the hair forming half a crown. The short hair that surrounds the horns is soft, full, and never seems to get dishevelled. Alcor stands at a height of 6 feet and possesses a lithe build that allows him to move gracefully during his nightly strolls. Like all Ethaefal, the colour of Alcor's hair and horns change with the seasons.
- During Winter his hair is Silver and his horns are Violet
- During Fall his hair becomes the colour of Wine and his horns become Bright Yellow
- During Spring his hair is Lavender Grey and his horns are white
- During Summer his hair becomes jet Black and his horns become Turquoise
When Leth steps down to make room for his lover the sun goddess Syna, A bright light bathes Alcor and when It fades, the once beautiful Ethaefal becomes an odd looking creature. In one of Alcors past lives he was a Akvatari named and in the light of day Alcor takes his form. Like all Akvatari, Lewnal had sturdy wings that resemble those of a delicate butterfly. These particular wings were very similar to the . A wing with luminescent greens and turquoises at the base and black around the fringe. Other than Lawnal's wings his upper torso was of a young man, with pale skin and eyes that were perpetually filled with sad longing. In contrast his hair was a vibrant lavender colour that matches the fur that covers his long seal tail. With the added length of the his tail, Alcor becomes 6'2 in length.
The Ethaefal attempted suicide not long after he fell by cutting his wrists, a skilled healer was able to save him but he still bears the marks on his flesh which he tries to cover with strips of fabric. The markings are visible no matter the time of day.
Because of the awkward shift in forms, Alcor has limited clothing options. He normally wears a long skirt and covers himself in cloth wrappings or shirts with holes in the back that allow his wings to spring out when morning hits. He wears shoes in his Ethaefal form but only ones that can easily slip off.
Personality
During the day, Alcor feels the echos of melancholy which are commonly associated with the dour race Akvatari. It seems that only art and other creative endeavours can dull the constant emptiness he feels and he seeks them out when he can. Alcor has far less patience than he does during the day and can be down right rude given the right circumstances. Although If you expose him to music or art, he will warm up to you almost instantly.
At night, Alcor is much more at peace despite his predicament and often appears aloof. While he doesn't magically become carefree during the day, he is far understanding and pleasant to be around. Alcor's celestial form is without a doubt essential, if he is required to do anything social.
Character History
Alcor was cast into the sea like unwanted refuse, but was luckily rescued from the chilled water by a travelling caravan who had spotted his decent from the heavens. The Ethaefal was taken to Riverfall where he was taken care of by a strange man known only as Mist, who took pity on him. After Alcor made an attempt to end his own life, Mist felt he needed to give the Ethaefal a purpose. The man taught him how to use a short bow, the art of Spiritlism and even shared a bit of knowledge on how to read auras. When the strange and eccentric man felt the Ethaefal could take care of himself he left him to his fate.
Alcor knows very little about his past life but Riverfall seems oddly familiar and he can't help feeling that someone he cares about lives in the city of waterfalls. This feeling keeps him from wanting to leave, even if he is unsure if this mystery person is still alive.
After living two seasons with a curse that had dulled his melancholy, he now feels guilty that he wishes it were still in affect.
