This is Falyndar at its finest. Danger lurks everywhere - in the ground, in the trees, in the bush. Only the strongest survive...

The last few days had been spent not trying to master the art of morphing, but instead to reverse the mistakes that had occurred. Through much trial and effort the scales that coated her legs had been reduced to just just darker outlines upon her skin. When the Immortal ran her fingers over her thighs she could still feel some slight bumps and ridges, but not as obvious as they had been mere days before. Most noticeably though were the teeth that had taken up a huge portion of the nuit's face the previous few nights. These of anything Evalin had struggled with the most, and after long bells of trial and efforts in vain finally she was able to reduce the structures to a more... manageable level. They were reduced greatly to the point that when she was able to reestablish her lips. What she was left with now was a mouth with five larger teeth in her upper and lower jaw, just small enough that she could close her lips and form words which more than anything felt like an accomplishment. While she would not win any contests of beauty, she could stand proud knowing she could speak her own name.

The day was beginning its end now as the little group of travelers began to make their camp for the evening. As usual Gresshal made his bed in the trees, leaving the trunk and other belongings on the ground for Evalin and Tsenrika to watch over during the nights vigil. It was on this trunk now that Evalin sat, extending her legs in front of her and wiggling her oddly stubble toes, This be not as simple as I once thought.

"Traveling the jungle in search of passage away to the new region?"

No, the art of changing ones self... it be far more taxing and full more more strife and risk than believe I at first. parting her lips Evalin revealed the too big teeth which she tapped with a finger, Such things as this which occur in unexpected ways when practicing the art itself.

"With all ventures there does come a certain level of risk." Tsenrika agreed, floating deeper into the jungle and making a circle around their little encampment.

With a nod Evalin shrugged and sat back with her spine against the tree, Indeed, but with all great things some risk is always required.

Looking down at her wiggling toes Evalin ran her hands over her slightly bumpy legs, beginning to pull and call upon the djed that would be worked and changed to be something else. It began slowly, cautiously more so than before as she ran her mental fingers along the strands of her legs and began to call up the image of the serpents tail she had worked on several days before. Unlike last time her djed readily began to shift and take this shape, the slight indention of scales become greater and more pronounced as her djed already remembered the form perhaps even better than it remembered how her legs were meant to be. The scales came first, quickly cascading from her thigh with little effort or input from Evalin herself, hardening and blackening as they went.

Evalin shivered slightly as she began to punch along the seam where her legs pressed together, eliminating the two so that they became one whole. She felt as her bones and muscles melded, becoming twisted and knitted together in new ways that were alien and familiar all at once. The more she worked the djed the quicker and quicker it began to respond, like it was taking a shape it already recognized instead of one that was completely new. From her hips down to the tip of her toes the tail's shape and form began to take shape, the appendage lengthening and slimming as it went as more and more scales ere added, riddged and blackened until after several chimes where her legs had been there now rested a half coiled Dhani half that slightly whipped its tip.

At least some changes come almost naturally, just not the ones which I would prefer.

Wretched Aura: As a Wretched One Evalin possesses an unnatural aura about her that causes unease in those who get too close. It can come as a prickle of the hair on the back of the neck, a sense of 'wrongness' about her. How people experience it is different depending on their personality and how they handle the unnatural and unknown. Animals tend to become more agitated, more easily sensing how wrong Evalin is and often avoiding contact with her.
