Steam and Serpents

Tinnok was still struggling with navigating the tunnels. She had gotten the basic pattern down. In essence the whole city was a giant downward spiral, but that was simplifying it to a very easy essence. This spiral had nooks, crannies, twists and turns, dead ends, and a million branches like that off of a tree that led to who knows where. It seemed the Queens had their fancy carved rooms in about the center, and anywhere above or below that was for the rest of masses, as if Tinnok could call the small population of Dhani here anything close to a 'mass.'
But if there were two places she knew how to get to, it was the small cavern Tsuya and their salamander friends called home, and the not so far away series of caverns containing the wonderfully warm steam baths that the Dhani loved soaking in. At first Tinnok had not understood the enjoyment. The tunnels were much cooler than the outside in the jungle, but the idea of sticking her body in sometimes practically broiling water seemed strange and redundant, that had all changed, however after a rough day of sparing in the gallery with a Dhani much too big for her. Someone snidely suggested relaxing in the pools, and with a desire to nurse her wounded pride she had found a secluded spot and discovered the wonders that the hot water and steam did for her muscles and nerves.
As it was now she stopped by at least once every other day if not more. She enjoyed finding new ones, and generally tried to avoid other Dhani. They were quite comfortable with their naked forms regardless if it was serpent or human, Tinnok...was not. She preferred to be alone, or occasionally find a more mild pool and enjoy it with Tsuya.
Today she was looking for another new pool, and padded lightly clothed passed a fairly large occupied one, a vent of steam dissipating enough for her to see several Dhani engaged in some...heated embraces. Her eyes darted away and her feet picked up their pace, though trod even more lightly in horror of what might happen if she interrupted the process.
A few more chimes and the steam around her drenching the loose cotton clothing she wore, Tinnok finally found a little nook that looked perfect. It was walled in by the natural formation of rocks so there was one slightly wide entrance and most of the pool was blocked form on loookers, so she could easily see if anyone joined her and have privacy. She dipped her fingers in the slightly glowing blue water testing the temperature, then without much further study stripped, folded her clothes and placed them to the side and slid in with a soft sigh of enjoyment as her scaled skin sank into the hot bubbling depths.
It was precisely then that she heard a faint splash and noticed that she was in fact, far from alone, and there were a pair of eyes assessing her from the other side of the pool.
"Ach, s-sorry, though this was...no full." Tinnok stuttered a bit nervously in her broken form of common.
