Current Situation
Halfway between slave and worker for a mixed Eypharian and Svefra trade ship, "The Winder." Currently has no intention to ever return to High Reach, but has no animosity for it either.
Suffering from chronic sinusitis and bronchitis. It is common for Loess to have phlegm, and have coughing or sneezing fits, but he is improving since leaving High Reach.
It is Loess' current "job" to apprentice the lead Eypharian merchant on The Winder. The others on the ship are Svefran, including the captain. They are all technically employees of the lead merchant, but the captain makes executive decisions at sea and has large input when deciding which trade routes to follow. Loess helps on deck in urgent situations, but otherwise studies books given to him by the lead merchant. When the ship docks, Loess accompanies the merchants into town, helping to seal deals or discover new potential partners/resources. Need to gain moderator approval of this apprenticeship, as I do intend it to pay for Loess' seasonal rent!

Ideas for the Future
Glasswork has for long been Loess' main source of income. On the Winder, hyptonism, geology, and deal-making will eclipse his most developed trade skill.
Malediction and dream-walking are two other possibilities, depending on where The Winder spends its time and what mysteries his great-grandfather has coincidentally left him.
