Synopsis: Soret cats are the prime breed of hunting cats bred and trained by the Drykas. They are sleek, fast, and are able to easily navigate the Sea of Grass. Domesticated since before the Valterrian, the major features of these cats are the way they can blend in with their surroundings and their incredible speed. They rely on ambush and speed tactics to take down and chase unsuspecting prey.

Proposal Accepted

Although I'm giving the go-ahead as it is, there are two points I suggest you add to this outline. 1) Touch upon availability to non-Drykas somewhere, because that's bound to become a question; and 2) Add a section on the psychology, temperament, and/or sociality of the breed. Given that there are social and asocial feline species, and that even domesticated cats can run the gamut from highly attached to quite aloof, I think this will be very important to include. Psychology/sociality would also be relevant to any feral populations.

It's good to see more race-associated creatures getting fleshed out!

Overview
-Introductory Paragraph-

History

• Pre-Valterrian
  Soret cats have been bred and trained by Drykas since before the Valterrian. No one knows exactly when they were first domesticated, though they were famous for their speed and dog-like loyalty. They are bred from cheetahs, though they have been bred past this into their own distinct breed. It is said the first Soret cats were blessed by Semele to blend with the earth and the gemstones within it.
  
  As the Drykas hid during the Valterrian, they released the cats to survive by themselves with heavy hearts. They did not have enough space or food to take care of the cats for the years they were underground, and the Soret cats became feral and wild. For the next few hundred years, they thrived in the Sea of Grass, different than how they were before the Valterrian.

• Post Valterrian
  After the Valterrian, as the Drykas crawled out of the caves and into the Sea of Grass, they simultaneously began redomesticating the new Soret cats. These cats were changed from how they were before, but they were still recognizable. It was slow work, and the Drykas soon realized that, not only would it be incredibly difficult to breed the cats into the form they were once in, but that it also was not to their best interests. Instead, they began breeding the cats to favor both stealth and speed.

Diet

• Soret cats mainly consume almost any raw meat they can get, having voracious appetites. Preference is different between Soret cats, though a common feature seems to be their dislike of horse meat.
