Appearance: Mahk is 6"0 with copper skin and brown/black curly hair that he holds a portion in a pony tail. His eyes are a deep brown that one may say shines in direct sunlight. From riding and hunting as a child he's developed lean muscles. Mahk has a beard and mustache that he keeps well kept as is Drykas tradition.
Character Concept At 6"0 with copper skin and brown/black curls Mahk is a rakish character. At the crossroads in life where he truly wonders what role he plays in society,
he can be impressionable. Mahk wonders what truly drives him, are the windmarks on his skin the epitome of his being?
Mahk is at the point in his life where thrills, answers, love, tradition and pride all guide him.
As most Drykas children were taught, Mahk is not rash, but he is blunt. He will never hesitate
to act or ask questions. He is clever, but not dangerously so. He is strong, but not incredibly so.
What Mahk is over all things is: charming, and it's that charismatic quality
that gets him in and out of trouble.
Character History Eighteen springs ago Mahk was born to the second wife of the Ankal of the Windheel Pavillion of the Emerald Clan of the Drykas people. A tiny thing, with curly wisps of midnight hair on his scalp,
but his eyes, his mother would never forget the moment he opened his eyes. They were as grey as a storm cloud yet so clear, she looked at him,
and those eyes welled with tears back at her, he cried. Most of Mahk's life was spent either on horseback, or with his nose to the dirt. As a direct child of the Ankal Mahk was taught basic webbing so if he were to someday become Ankal he could bind the Pavillion to the rest of Endrykas. As a child of the Emerald Clan
he was destined to be a great hunter. He could shoot before he could sign well, He became a good enough rider at six springs. Hunting was to be his profession, but it was also his past time. It was what bonded him to his mother, a seasoned huntress, It was what gave him childhood friends during his education. Thirteen springs ago, Mahk resembled the young man he would become.
Sleek, the prepubescent form of rakish, tanned skin, a full head of curly black hair most of it tied back into a pony tail. Thirteen springs ago, Mahk met Zwei an unbonded Strider with a spotched black and brown coat,
and a blacker mane. Zwei would change Mahk's life, Zwei would truly make Mahk Drykas. The day Mahk was given his windmarks, was the day his mother gifted him her first shortbow.
She kept it in fine condition, polishing its wood, changing the horse hair for the string. Mahk's windmarks traveled across his right pectoral, to wrap around his wrist.
To Mahk it resembled an arrow being carried by the wind, it also resembled everything he needed to live up to.
At sixteen springs, Mahk's elder half-brother, [color=gold]Khasr went missing. Went Mahk's mother was hunting, it was
Khasr who played a hand in helping him.
Mahk was attractive, noticeable, but Mahk wasn't the first son of the first wife so he never held a defined position in the pavillion. Life was rough, as it was for all his people
but it was enjoyable. Mahk had been told that
Khasr was a bad-luck child, that Caiyha had not shined upon his mother and him upon birth.
Khasr's mother had died during child birth, and that sealed
his fate. Mahk held sympathy for him, but there was never anything he could possibly do.
