I. AppearanceGender | Male | Race | Human | Date of Birth | 35, Winter, 495 |
Casso stands at 5’11 with a fairly lean and balanced build, his physique often hidden by his cloak. He always prefers the addition of a hood regardless of whatever else he might be wearing.
His features are young and fresh, with his eyes being the most notable. Casso’s eyes are heterochromatic, with his right eye in varying shades of green and left eye a light blue. His hair is a shade of cream, but rarely does he lower his hood to expose it.
When Casso dons his white cloak and hood, those who are untrained of the eye will not be able to recognize him without closer study. |
An often quiet man with a keen eye who experiences onsets of intense emotional confusion due to an unknown trauma during his infancy. Finds both joy and sorrow in the study of others.
A character who observes the mishaps of others yet is unable to take action. Through his gradual increase in the understanding of other beings he becomes enlightened to his own weaknesses. |
III. History City of Birth | Alvadas | Current City | Alvadas | Profession | Listener |
Casso knew little about his parents save that they were both human. He had no memory of them, having been delivered to the Temple of Ionu as an infant. The former priest took him under his care, raising him up to be a devout servant of Ionu. The former priest named him Casso, without a last name. He was to perform the mundane daily tasks of the temple, completing errands for the priest and deacons, and sometimes visitors.
The tasks assigned to him were easy to perform, mostly daily errands such as purchasing food at the Bizzare, picking up certain items from certain locations and delivering others to other locations within the ever-shifting city. Often needing of travel from one end of the city to the other, the tasks acquainted him to the seldom visited corners of Alvadas. Over time, Casso grew familiar with both the inhabitants and the ever-shifting streets of the city, developing an impressive ability to see and recognize things out of the ordinary, even in Alvadas.
The mundane tasks handed down to Casso grew in specification as he matured. Often, he was to disguise himself and observe specific people, noting down whatever he was able to see on bits of parchment that he would later hide in cracks of the walls. Other times he would be assigned to listen in on conversations between certain individuals, all the while completing his daily purchases for the temple. By the time Casso had turned sixteen he hardly received the simple daily tasks he used to. By then he also had a fair idea that he had become part of something larger – most likely one of the many informants for the Listeners of the Womiyu. He gave some further thought to the matter, reaching the conclusion that whether or not it true made no difference to his current life. He receives tasks, and he carries them out.
Roughly one year later Casso completed his initiation into the Listeners. It was a normal evening after he had completed his daily routine. When splitting open his loaf of bread for dinner, a rolled up scrap of parchment presented itself. On it wrote “We note the compketion of your initiation task. You are now one of us, Listener”. The handwriting was inconsistent, likely written by the hands of many. A symbol of a triangle with two triangular ears stood below the refined handwriting. The note was an overdue recognition of his contribution, by those who he had been working for presumably since long ago.
Winter, 514 AV
Having completed numerous complex tasks as a Listener, Casso proved himself to be a young and capable member of the organization.
Yet as of now he no longer takes interest in observing others. |
