Having grown up in Taloba all throughout her childhood, Kiva has a fluid sense of modesty, not shying away from the naked form. To her, clothing is optional and practicality is the most important. Although she is often seen dressed more days than naught, the weather highly influences her style. Hot and humid weather means more skin showing, while cold and frigid would quickly lead to layers. On the average, Kiva enjoys a simple set of harem pants, and thin white top. She has a strange loathing for formal shoes and will be uncomfortable if forced to wear them.
As a person, Kiva is simply a Myrian woman. Tall and lithe, with strong legs and tawny skin, her complexion is clear and healthy. Her hair is long black and often braided, falling just below her mid back. As her pride and joy, Kiva takes meticulous care of her locks, not often allowing them to become tangled or matted unless there is good cause (i.e: a battle). Her eyes, a light brown, are often outlined with thick kohl, and is once again out of habit for efficiency than sheer design.
Tattoos/Markings:
Kiva dons the first mark of Myri, which rests along the front of her right thigh. She has no tattoos at the moment, but plans to at a later date.

Personality
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Kiva is headstrong, fearless, and perhaps a touch self destructive. She has grown up confident in who she is and her social standing as a Myrian woman has molded her to believe that there are few as powerful and as worthy as another Myrian female. A product of her own social upbringing, Kiva believes all other races are savages, albeit she is a lot more tolerant than others.
Unlike some of her other clan members, Kiva is not likely to pick a fight she doesn't think she can win, but her pride makes that few and far in between. No matter the results, Kiva will fight tooth and nail to become victorious. When not in battle, she is patient and observing, interested in life experiences and magical adventures. Kiva also holds a deep respect for those that impress her, and will watch her tongue to those she sees as worthy. She would rather utilize them to further herself in areas perhaps she is not gifted in, than make resourceful enemies. Males will have a harder time gaining her favor, but there are a few she reveres deeply, the most respected man in her life being her father. Having learned the art of malediction from him growing up, the dead do not disgust, but excite her. She can take the ruins of a loved one past, and create something to help or hinder another being. The whole concept strikes her with awe and she aims to perfect her physical and mental form, ever improving in all areas of her existence.
But, fair warning, if by some chance you wrong this woman to a severe degree, she will find you. She will make it her life mission to return the favor. Determined and passionate barely describe the woman. She is brutal. She is unforgiving. She is still Myrian.

History

History is written by the victors.
Kiva had an average childhood. She grew up in the clan's longhouse, completed her coming of age ceremonies, and trained like all the others. Her father had a strong part in raising her, an influence that plenty of women in Taloba feared would make her weak. He held a respectable position as a Maledictor, often crafting items and selling them to others. Interested in this greatly, Kiva begged him to teach her, and so he did.
Kiva's mother, on the other hand was very involved in the military, often off patrolling the Zinrah blockade. When returning to town, she was a stern, but attentive mother. She never held her absences against her and enjoyed the lessons. It wasn't until Kiva was around the age of 20, when tragedy struck. The Djed Storm of 512 A.V. rocked Kiva's life, as both her parents were outside of the gates of Taloba at the time. Her father, off collecting new materials for his work never returned home, and her mother, Rakia, was reported to have vanished mysteriously like all the others at the blockade. Her mother's belongings were found by scouts and later returned to her, but Kiva didn't have the heart to keep many of them. She stayed for two more years to finish up her service to the Taloban military before leaving and trying her luck elsewhere -- Black Rock.

- Spring 515 A.V
Kiva continues to live on Black Rock and becomes employed at Tokia's Tonics, working around the shop and also running on errands to fetch various ingredients for potions and salves. While out one day in the swamps, Kiva experiences her first interaction with a ghost that leaves her cold and sapped of energy.
Winter 515 A.V
After getting black out drunk, Kiva wakes up to find herself in the middle of the ocean on a Svefran ship, heading to a place called Riverfall. For the first time in her life, Kiva has to leave Falyndar and deals with a number of new challenges - from the bite of winter, accepting a new job at The Sanctuary, to being the minority in Akalak culture. She's the underdog, and she doesn't know how to take the news.
