Lorden wasn't so concerned this time, when a look of surprise crossed Asen's face. The woman had no way of knowing, that he had skirted around the truth when had spoke on not having a Squire.
Girl just has an active face, Lorden thought to himself, as his casually attentive eyes watched, as Asen's lips began to form words from within the depths of her mouth.
The knight's face lite up a bit further.
"Sessaschenaasen. You can just say Asen, if y'need to. I've been down to the Grounds before, to answer your question. Last time was around the seventieth. Before that was when I got my jaw broken. You wouldn't happen to know Aventis, would ya? Really tall, not exactly pretty but not ugly either?," the woman said. Lorden watched amused, as Asen seemed to exaggerate her words with her hands.
Cute, the man mused a bit to himself, his hear skipping a beat, as he did.
"Is it alright if I just call you Lorden?," the blonde continued, causing Lorden's eyes to glow, with a momentary flash of pleased surprise.
"Alright 'Asen', I'd love to be on a first name basis with you...," he said trailing his voice off, as he attempted to formulate an endearing response, to the part of her statement that doubled as a question.
Perfect, Lorden thought, as the image of Asen mocking him earlier, shot into his mind.
"As for yer' 'not exactly pretty' friend," Lorden made air quotes, around the words 'not exactly pretty', as he spoke with a smile.
"I'm afraid I don't know him. Then again I'm not surprised; I don't do much shopping around for the guys, if ye' know what I mean," the twenty-year old said with a laugh, as his hands sunk back beneath the warm waves palm-first.
The knight looked away from Asen, and splashed his face with water; he only looked back up eagerly, when she continued to prod him.
"How old are you, anyways? You look pretty young to be a knight, for a human. Are you a human?," she asked, causing the man she was addressing, to raise one his thin black eyebrows.
"I'm only twenty Asen. I guess you could say I'm young; I was knighted about two years ago, so...," he said, trailing his voice off, as he pondered the other half of her surprising inquisition.
"As for being human, I don't quite know what else I could be," he offered, with another chuckle.
With a thought, the knight framed a exaggerated look of curiosity.
"Are you human? I hope yer' not some kind of monster in disguise!," he asked with feigned worry. The knight gently batted his right hand against the woman's bare shoulder heartily, as if to reinforce his jest.
As his chest beat, at the touching of the girl's unclothed skin, Lorden's mind drifted back to his all but ignored attempt, at setting up another meeting with the blonde, who floated before him.
"But in all seriousness, if yer' planning on going to the grounds again soon... Well, I'd be happy to show you a thing or two?," the knight phrased the statement as a question; and even with what meager amount of natural charisma Lorden possessed, a bit of nervousness could still be picked out from his voice, as he spoke.
