"It's okay. I guess I would do the same thing."

At this, Alex stopped and blushed even harder... if that were even possible. Certainly not the sort of response he was expecting from her, but he decided it was much better than her shouting insults and calling him a huge creep. As long as she's not completely freaked out by what I said, then I guess we can call it progress... I swear she's trying to make me blush... He thought to himself. In all honesty, he didn't know whether to be flattered at the comment, or suspicious.

As Alex waited for her answer, time seemed to stand still. It was almost as if Amelie were making this long, dramatic pause on purpose. He ran one of his hands through his hair and waited as patiently and calmly as his ADHD-riddled mind would allow. He was usually a very patient person, but in matters that were as exciting as this, he couldn't help but tap his fingers in anticipation. He only hoped that she wouldn't see it as rude...

When Amelie nodded in response, Alex's breath caught in his throat. Deep in the back of his mind, he wanted to deny it all. To tell himself that it was all just a dream and that he would wake up sweating in his bed in the dorms, too disappointed to even start the day. But he knew it was not a dream, and everything that had occured was, in fact, very real. Almost as soon as Amelie agreed, Alex thought he could feel something. He felt a small connection to her, almost as if their bonding proccess had already begun, yet it was still incomplete.

Once he could find his voice again, he found himself able to respond. "Wow... this is... I don't know what to say... If my stepfather were here, he would probably be very proud. I... don't know how to thank you. I'd hug you, if you'd like..." In all honesty, Alex never felt comfortable with hugs, mainly due to the lack of affection he has been shown his whole life. Of course, his mother has hugged him a few times when he was younger, but his mother never cared for him. One would find it hard to believe that the boy had barely recieved any affectionate hugs from anyone truely caring. He could only hope that it would change, now that his life would be different...

Amelie giggled. "You do blush a lot." She commented.

Amelie saw he looked very anxious and he tipped his fingers with impatience. She liked making him wait.

Them when she nodded he stopped breathing. She got worried he would pass out from lack of oxygen then he stated breathing again.

"Wow... this is... I don't know what to say... If my stepfather were here, he would probably be very proud. I... don't know how to thank you. I'd hug you, if you'd like..."

Amelie smiled at Alexander's stuttering and the offer of a hug. She hugged him first very tight (she didn't think it was right) then grabbed his head and kissed him.

She felt she needed a first kiss and that this should confirm they are bondmates. Because it was alright asking just the doing part might be a problem.

Alex honestly didn't know if Amelie even felt comfortable at his offer for a hug. It was obvious that she was just as quiet ant troubled as he was, so he thought that she also didn't have much experience with intimate contact. He could imagine that she would be pretty hesitant on the matter. Especially his previous little ramble.

He was surprised when Amelie suddenly wrapped her arms around him in a crushing hug, nearly squeezing the breath out of him. Even though he could barely breath without having to struggle, he felt that the gesture contained much more affection than he was used to, yet it did not make him at all uncomfortable. In fact, he felt more loved than he ever had in his entire life. Even though Amelie didn't show it in her outward emotions, he could sense her affection. He smiled and, resisting the urge to cry, he slipped his arms around her and returned the same amount of fondness.

Then, much to his surprise, she released him and before anything else could be said, she placed both hands on the sides of his head and pulled his lips to hers, kissing him gently.

Normally, a move like this would have made the boy blush. And blush he did. He felt so flustered that he was growing uncomfortably hot underneath his dark clothing, despite the chilly early Spring air. Although this time, he didn't feel as nervous as he usually would. Instead, he felt their small and simple connection strengthen as soon as his lips touched hers. Growing a bit more passionate, he pulled her closer and held the kiss for a moment longer before pulling away, his flustered face giving her a shy smile.

"S-sorry about that... I... Um... I couldn't help myself... He said, staring into her eyes.

Amelie

Amelie relieved and very happy that Alexander reciprocated and didn't push her away, even he was the one who asked the question.

She felt the connection too. It got stronger.

She smiled and hugged him again tightly (she didn't think so). "It's okay. Your actually quite good looking." She chuckled and saw Alexander blush more. No-one Hugs me much so... thanks."

"S-sorry about that... I... Um... I couldn't help myself..."

Amelie giggled. "It's totally fine. I wouldn't be able to either."

A lot of things went through her mind at first; w hat happens now? Do they go through something like a ceremony? Would it be obvious to everyone else? What happens if something we're to happen?

That thought made her squeeze Alexander tighter (than she already squeezed him) causing his rib cage to creak and very soon break (if she didn't let go or squeezed tighter.) She sighed anyway and thought of other things.

"It's okay. Your actually quite good looking. No-one Hugs me much so... thanks."

Alex couldn't help but feel a bit flattered when Amelie said this. It certainly was not often that someone called him "good-looking" or "handsome'', and for Amelie to say it more or less caught him by surprise. He could feel their connection slowly growing stronger, and as it did, he steadily began to notice feelings that were not his own...

Once again, Amelie wrapped him in another bone-crushing hug, and Alex returned with as much affection as his wiry arms would allow. It was then that other thoughts randomly raced through his mind, yet he did not know where they came from. Thoughts on what would happen next, if anyone would notice their newfound relationship, what would be done if something were to happen...

It was then that Amelie suddenly squeezed him even tighter. Wait a second... is she... worried about me? About us? He thought, the possibilities echoing throughout the privacy of his own mind. As she squeezed him tighter, he gasped a bit when his ribs suddenly started to bend and creek.... bones aren't supposed to do that...

Without wanting to sound rude, he rubbed her back and whispered gently in her ear. "If you want to, we can head back into your room and talk... or do something else..." He said, gasping a bit for air, but still heald a reassuring smile on his face.

Amelie

Amelie frowned. She could hear thoughts which shouldn't happen. She gasped. She could hear Alexander's thoughts. Hello? She thought to him.

Then she felt the bond growing stronger and she knew she didn't feel silly and that maybe Alexander would hear her thoughts.

"If you want to, we can head back into your room and talk... or do something else..."

She almost missed what Alexander had said she was too busy looking through his mind. She let out of him smiled and nodded. "I would like that. Don't say anything to mother though, I don't need her approval."

So she took Alexander upstairs and to her room where she sat down on her bed.

As their connection steadily began growing stronger, Alex could almost sense something in the back of his mind from Amelie's end. He felt a sense of awareness, surprise, and a hint of curiosity. Was Amelie trying to say something to him? It was possible that she thought that he could hear her thoughts, but of course, he couldn't. As appealing as it would be to be able to communicate telepathically, he knew that the only things that could be shared through the bond between a Kelvic and a bond mate were feelings and emotions. And Alex was sensing quite a few emotions from Amelie, and he could guess that Amelie was picking up the same things from him... no matter how much he tried bottling them up.

It took Amelie a moment to respond to what he had said, and he could only guess that she was a little too preoccupied with searching through his emotions. Surprisingly, he didn't feel any sort of intrusion at all. The only thing he felt was confusion. Why would Amelie be so interested in what he felt? His whole life, Alex always thought that there was nothing interesting about him, that he was just another person to walk past on the street without so much as a side glance. So what was it about him that made him interesting all of a sudden...?

"I would like that. Don't say anything to mother though, I don't need her approval."

Her sudden reply broke through his thoughts, and he acknowledged with a nod. "I won't." He said softly, before she took him by the hand and led him into the house and back into her room.

Once they were back into her room, Alex sat down on her bed and smiled shyly. "Well... what would you like to do? We could talk, if you'd like, but... I did kind of enjoy the kissing...." He meant that last part as a joke, but deep in his mind, he hoped for it... And there was no doubt that Amelie would know that...

Amelie

Amelie could feel their connection growing stronger and she like looking through his emotions. He was curious and intrigued and there was no hint of leaving her so she was relieved she didn't have to worry about that.

He ft confused at why she wanted to know all about him. He could tell no-one took much notice of him before they met and she was the same She had never had a bondmate before and she wanted to know everything all of the sudden.

"I won't."

"Good."

"Well... what would you like to do? We could talk, if you'd like, but... I did kind of enjoy the kissing...."

Amelie could tell through the bond connection that he wanted her to kiss her again. She smiled.

"Yeah that was nice..." She said that grabbed him and kissed him again, squeezing his neck a bit hard. (She didn't know her own strength)

Alexander Ross

Alex waited in awkward silence for her response. He could already tell that she would enjoy making him wait. He didn't blame her, either. The way he blushed and fidgeted, he would imagine that he was quite a sight to see whenever he became impatient. She knew that, deep down, he wanted to kiss her again. And even though she was acting hesitant, he knew that she wanted it also..

Then she smiled at him, and his whole world melted. His heart fluttered and began pounding within his chest, while his face stayed just as red as it had always been. The way she smiled at him with such affection nearly brought a tear to his eye, and the fact that he could sense it just made it worse. He only hoped that Amelie wouldn't make fun of him about it...

"Yeah that was nice..." She had said, before roughly pulling Alex into another passionate kiss. All instincts that caused him to be nervous slowly melted away as he leaned into the kiss, gently pulling her closer to him. During the entire moment, it was as if nothing else in the world mattered except for what was happening at that moment. For once, he paid the rest of the world as much attention as it has shown him his entire life (Which was barely any, if not less). For some reason, Amelie's reply seemed to relieve him, even though he could sense what she had anticipated before she did it. There was a bit of a pain in his neck where she was grabbing him. He gently rubbed one of his hands on hers, hoping she would take the hint to loosen her grip. Very gently and slowly, he began to lay back on the bed.

Amelie

*skip*

Amelie lay in bed with Alexander staring at the ceiling. She had to admit she had been a bit rough with Ross and she hoped she hadn't broken any bones.

She sighed and looked at Alexander. He seemed content just lying there sleeping but he did have a bruise on his neck and arms. She bit her lip. She hoped it didn't show too much or... Who was she kidding ? He would find them and think that she was too rough for a bondmate so he would leave. Not that she cared.

She got up and with only her undergarments on, jumped out of the window and shifted into her wolf form and ran off into the forest.

She needed to get away to think about things. If she came back and Alexander was gone she wouldn't blame him. If he was still there she would be cautious and not so taken that he would stay even when she bruised him.
