80th of Fall 514th AV

With a single step outside Aliara could tell that it had started to warm up, the warmer season where coming and it had been a harsh winter. Staring out her window Aliara watched as more people began to frequent the streets, walking in pairs, chatting away with each other. Turning back to her sitting room Aliara frowned, it was still a bit too cold outside for her to train outside, that and the snow on the ground would make it colder if she was to get wet.

Putting on enough clothing that she wouldn't freeze but could still move, Aliara slipped outside into the warming winter and began to think. She had promised herself this next couple of days, the moment the weather grew warmer, she would train, better herself and bring more money in. Keeping this in mind Aliara looked around the streets and made her decision. She would run, a quick run just a couple of blocks then go back and work on making herself more flexible, when she could achieve this Aliara could start do some vaults maybe even flips.

Aliara began her warm up, the pumping of her heart and the movement of her lungs as she began to jog. Her thoughts began to focus, acrobatics, the dancers in the sky, Aliara wanted to be an aerial dancer more than anything however she found herself lacking the confidence of her skills. Turning left Aliara made a mental note on where and what she wanted to be in her skills, Aliara wanted to be able to most vaults and flips. She wanted to amase the people that watched her.

Her chest began to burn with every breath and her muscles began to complain, cutting the run short Aliara turned at the next turn and made her way home. As she opened her door and entered her home Aliara inhaled deeply attempting to catch her breath. The run had only been a warm up to get her body to focus even if Aliara wasnt very good at running she still felt it helped. Dumping her coat and gloves Aliara made her way into her sitting room and considered where she could practise. If she moved the table out of the way she believed she could stretch here.

Pushing the table was easy but as Aliara laid down on her floor she found it hard to get motivated, she could just lay on her floor and rest for a little bit. Cursing herself Aliara forced her body to work. rolling over on to her stomach Aliara kept in mind that she was working on flexibility, Aliara had guessed that to do flips she would first have to know her limits then extend them so she could perform them without to much risk of injury.

Keeping her hands in place Aliara began to walk her feet towards her hands, it started out easy but soon, only five more steps from her hands Aliara found her muscle in her back began to complain and her face began to turn red. This was going to be painful, walking her hands forward until she was laying down on her stomach again she panted.

Red faced Determination

Aliara had only done maybe three or four of the same exercise before she found herself laying on the floor in a panting, sweating mess. It was sad how bad she was at stretching, inhaling deeply she slowly forced herself to stand one more. She felt weak, Aliara had to admit at least that but she would not give in.

Looking down at her grimy feet Aliara began to rack her brains for other ways to stretch and work out her muscles and she had just used it, Aliara would drive herself mad if she just continued to do the same thing again and again without feeling any different.

Inhaling deeply Aliara slouched and pursed her lips as she came up with nothing. If she was going to be doing flips and vaults she would have to get a move one, the end of the season was nearing and that meant work would pick up as everyone began about their works in the warmer months. Looking back at her feet Aliara finally gave in and attempted to touch her toes.

It was simple yet caused so many muscles to groan in complaint and for Aliara to once more go red as she tried to push herself those last few impossible inches. The harder she tried the more her body yelled for her to stop, knowing that the more she forced herself the more Aliara ran the chance of dislocating something or tearing one of her muscles. Deciding to cheat slightly Aliara slid her left leg into a walking position and then tried once more.

Different muscles burnt but in total Aliara began to consider if she kept this up she would gain the flexibility to bend in such ways she could amaze the imaginary crowds before her. Blinking away the thoughts of her flipping Aliara breathed in deeply and held her breath for a count of three. Relaxing her mind and body could help Aliara stretch closer to her toes, even if she didn't complete her week of training Aliara would at least touch her toes.

Keeping her left leg stretched out behind her Aliara slowly knelt down with her right, she had seen one of the men on the docks use this move, though a lot smaller, to lift a crate over his head. As Aliara moved into the move she began to think it was just showing off, the muscle complaining behind her knees told her that it wouldn't be safe to remotely lift anything of any weight, but Aliara kept at it, breathing through the burn of her muscles and through of her future.

Breathing slowly through the stretch Aliara began to think more out there, she could start vaulting in one sense or another, standing up from her stretch Aliara moved her couch and then moved her table. It was simple she would launch herself over them as she ran from wall to wall, simple. Aliara increased the distance between the two obstacles and the walls, Aliara inhaled deeply and closed her eyes picturing herself doing it as motivation.
Aliara smiled and moved to one of the walls, she had never really vaulted before, she had jumped over a crack of two in the road in front of her house but that was much as it got, deciding that the couch a softer land if she failed. The only Vault she had really done was earlier in the season was over a table and she tipped the table more than ‘vault’ Biting her lip Aliara decided she would just do it. Running towards the couch Aliara studied the distance and found that she would have to jump three steps from the couch and that would give her enough time to stick her hand on the back of the couch and push herself over.

Running was the easy part but as Aliara stuck her hand out and gripped on to the back. As she jumped Aliara realised that she didn't know how to land and she didn't have enough to upper body strength to hold herself in the air either. Squealing Aliara panicked and tucked her legs in so she was smaller. Letting go of the couch she came crashing down. Aliara hit the cousins first but then rolled off and her shoulder hit the hard floor first. Sharp pain shoot through her back and head. Whimpering softly Aliara curled into a tight ball and hoped the pain would subside, she hadn't of been ready to vault and Aliara should have been smart enough not to do one until she knew what would happen every single time. Slowly and painfully Aliara straightened out and inhaled softly. Looking up at her roof she noticed that the spider webs had gotten out of control again, they were building themselves a little palace. Smiling Aliara took her shoe off and the pulled her sock off. Aiming Aliara threw her sock and smiled as it collided with the web palace but that smile soon turned into a frown as Aliara’s sock did not come back down again.

“Petch…”

Pulling a face Aliara thought it would be best if she just continued to stretch and handle the easier moves until Aliara really believe she could do it, however Aliara was running out of stretches, maybe if she got creative. Sitting up, being careful not to hurt her shoulder, Aliara reached towards her toes and tried to see how far she could reach and it wasnt ever far.

The stretching was starting to wear on Aliara’s focus, she wanted to be the best she could be but she was far from where she needed to be. Someday Aliara would have to be able to pull herself up silken scarves and hold her self there as she performed flips and danced from the sky. Aliara laid back down on the floor and sighed. Her life was just starting to open up to her however she couldn’t force herself to stay focused on her goal. It seemed as though she stayed focused on the training rather than her end goal. Not knowing wether this was a good thing or not Aliara lifted her legs into the air and and folded them over herself. It was messing around, that was until Aliara realised, lifting her backside Aliara attempted to keep herself balanced as she slowly stood up. Smiling at her achievement Aliara was surprised that she managed some sort of roll.

Looking around her room Aliara considered her muscles crying for relief and came to the conclusion to finish for the day. Moving her table back to its original place Aliara crashed onto the couch and looked up at ceiling. Aliara had spoken to a few of the sailors at the Drunken fish and they told her how much it cost to catch a lift on a boat to Zeltiva. The first step in her Journey, her long journey, people had told her it was the city of knowledge and Aliara hoped that she could find someone to take her to the main city Syliras.

Laying an arm over her eyes Aliara continued to picture her travels throughout the land she had lived in but never seen. Smiling to herself Aliara vowed that she would make it to Kalinor and she would learn. It was then that Aliara slowly dozed off dreaming of her future.
