Abidah, from the tents of Talmal, of the sons of Aysaw Generosity and selflessness Race Benshira Gender Female Age 17 Birthday 22nd of Spring, 498 A.V, Physical appearance Abidah stands at five feet and 6 1/2 inches and weighs at exactly 117lbs She has long dark brown hair which she frequently braids as most Benshira females do, her hair is about 10 inches long and is normally pulled back to avoid getting in front of her face which has quite small features, a small nose, small lips yet big crystal blue blues. Her entire head is round and she had 'baby' cheeks or 'chipmunk' cheeks. Her complexion has a brown hue to it, much like the rest of her body, a light brown tan color which is attributed to not only her race but to resist the sun more. She has a average frame, not really caring for her own physical attractiveness yet getting enough exercise in order to shed sufficient weight off. A distinctive feature of her (besides her eyes) is her clothes. Abidah typically wears a white felt tunic, loose fitting pants, brown sandals and a colorful shawl over all of it. Her shawl hangs below her waist but above the knees and covers her arms till about a inch or two past her elbows, she wears this shawl like a hood as well, and wears a separate face veil that matches the rest of her shawl which is a cyan color but with dark blue lines in a diamond formation. She also has multiple piercings including both her ears and her nose. Personality Abidah is a joyful and free spirit who enjoys almost every aspect of her life and of those around her. She is not prone to being depressed nor is she easily angered and because of this is quite gentle and kind. Following faithfully to Yahal, Abidah is very charitable and doesn't hesitate to help those in need. These naive actions however - especially in this world could quite lead her down a dangerous path, as not only is she very kind and generous but also quite curious and is gripped with wanderlust and naive trust in people she doesn't know. This can, and probably will, end up harming her either physically, emotionally, mentally, or even spiritually. This is a major problem with her, even though it presents risks it can also help her find new friends in people, and have her explore and discover new things. Currently, Abidah is on a thirst for knowledge, she wishes to broaden her intelligence and skills so that she can use these to help others, acting a bit like a charity but also like a missionary, making no short mention of Yahal in her works. It is her religious devotion to Yahal in fact that caused her to be so charitable in the first place, and she devotes most of her free time in prayer to Yahal, with the rest being occupied with shopping, exploring, or perhaps mingling. Abidah has not yet explored the world nor experienced much beyond her simple Benshira life to have any particular likes or dislikes, her life was simple and she was preoccupied with her duties to provide for her family or praying to Yahal to actually think on the matter. Though she has experienced a overwhelming love for arts and crafts, enjoying colors, patterns, shapes and imagery. As far as fears go, she fears anything that is harmful, evil, corrupt or largely magical in nature, though her magical fears is more of a cautionary step rather than a phobia. Her overall view towards magic is that is dangerous, but can be controlled by people, still dangerous though. History Abidah was born among a nomadic group of Benshira in Eyktol. She was born to her parents, Baham and Akell and raised in a simple enviroment with a simple life. Her tent group was comprised of her own family and extended family. They traveled from place to place frequently, staying close to more fertile areas which might bare grass, food and water in the spring and fall seasons while moving closer to the city Yahebah in the summer and sometimes in the winter. They were shepherds by heart and had a herd consisting of 9 heads of cows on average and 22 heads of goat on average which was enough to feed and clothe the entire family through the year as well as occasionally providing more than needed which they sold in Yahebah or saved for hard times when no food or water could be found. The Hik fruit was especially prized by her family, though it didn't have a favorable taste it was actively sought for and harvested all year round and served along with opal berries and cattle or goat meat. Viper cucumbers were also common among them, but only towards the end of summer when they were ripened enough to eat. So it was that Abidah's life normally consisted of routine, finding food, caring for the herd, eating and moving. Abidah, since from a early age had been mostly a stay-at-tent person, she rarely guarded the flock from predators and mostly dealt with domestic duties: weaving, cooking and preparing food and making or repairing various things like clothes or baskets. She and her family would frequently make pilgrimages to Yahals temple, and like all Benshira were very devout. Welcoming Rapa's with open arms and sometimes hosting small feasts for them. It was around the time when Abidah turned fifteen did she take a interest in the world around her and started developing a wanderlust. Though her parents would've much wanted her to marry and continue the life she had been having for fifteen years. She would've been happy to do so as well, but the arrival of outsiders rekindled her interest. These outsiders were blue-skinned and muscular, they were heavily burned with assortments of weapons and animal skins. Abidah's family were wary of these outsiders but gave them hospitality none the less. The blue-skinned men explained they were from Riverfall, to the north and were hunters - Brothers in fact who left their home in search of greater challenges in the forms of animals and monsters alike. They certainly didn't mind to gloat of the things they killed in their home region, including fearsome Zith. Abidah was eager to hear their stories of the outside world and after having eaten their fill the two Akalak slept, the next day they lingered till about noon before giving some of their skins as thanks for their hospitality and then they set off, the skins they gave was mostly Jackal skins, but also a few Golden Wolf skins. So it was, that at 16 in the summer 514 A.V, that Abidah's wanderlust took hold and that while they were close to Yahebah she left her family to explore the world, and it was in Yahebah she gathered supplies to aid her in her journey as well as hearing rumors from Benshira and some outsiders of things of interest. It was in here that she heard of Zeltiva, or rather the University of Zeltiva, it was a conversation between two men who had been trading but fell into normal conversation as soon as each other peaked their interests with a topic they had long forgotten about. Abidah politely interjected, asking questions about the University of Zeltiva. What it was, where it was, and how she could get there. Each answer that was given spurred her to try and learn from this place. But when she asked how she could get there, the very word Ahnatep sent her reeling in self defeat. She never wanted to go there, the Eypharians enslaved the Benshira once and she viewed them as being largely evil and seducing. The mans instructions were to go to Ahnatep and try to buy passage across the water to Zeltiva's docks, but why did it have to be Ahnatep? Abidah almost gave p and returned to her family but decided to brave the city after a few days of arguing with herself. The city was nothing like she had seen before, it was grand and beautiful and the Eypharians themselves were very exotic and beautiful. Their bodies painted gold and they were adorned with the fine jewelry. They produced great and beautiful things as well such as jewelry, dyes, clothes, and artwork that drew the eye of the young and naive Abidah, to everyone else: Abidah was but a Benshira woman who had wandered into Ahnatep, a strange sight but otherwise not concerning. To Abidah: A fight to not give in to temptations which seemed to dwell around every corner, whether it was fine food, fine jewels or pursuits of the flesh. She made it though, safely to the docks and after hours of searching finally found a ship willing to carry her, it was a long journey she faced, travelling across Eyktol, then across the sea, but finally she reached her destination unharmed. And so this was Zeltiva, where was she to begin?
