Timestamp: Spring 53, 515 AV Once again, Kailey found herself in one of the training rooms. Her bare feet warm, the soles slick with sweat as she stepped lightly to the padded floor, sticking to the ground a moment, before she picked her foot up and moved on. Her body hot, although she wore a simple tunic and loose trousers, (choosing to cover her top half unlike most of the Akalak that were in the room, training all around her). Her face had reddened a little, although, she had tied her hair back into a ponytail to keep it off her neck, and help her stay cool. Kailey could just make out the shuffling of feet as some of the man scuttled back and forth. Punching and blocking, parrying and countering. Grunting and sweating, and stinking up the whole place, threatening to overpower the intense scent of incense that lingered through the entirety of the building. The Kelvic wrinkled her nose as she spared a glance at their instructor, standing at the edge of the room, his massive arms folded over his chest. She thought she remembered him being called Jallivik, or something like that. Although, he looked unnaturally similar to Soren, (from her first visit), for her to be entirely convinced that they were different people. In any case, the Kelvic found herself having been assigned to one of the training dummies at the side of the room, not to far from where the junior instructor was standing. She squared off against it, and as instructed a few days prior, stood with her right foot in front of the left, with her chest turned to the side, so as to present less of a target to attackers. She hopped lightly on her feet, beginning to get the blood flowing through her system again as she stared at, (what she assumed), to be a hay-stuffed dummy. The Kelvic took a deep breath, and then jabbed at the dummy's face, after having pulled her right fist forward, out of her arm's slightly cocked, outheld starting position. She grunted, and then followed up with an uppercut, wishing all the while that she could practice with someone real, as that would be far more fun. OOCOn the Speedy Gonzales scale, I am a Slowpoke. Please be forewarned. Thank you. ^^ |
