Hello folks!
Small update on how to become a squire or knight.
The
Employment, Wages and Seasonal Experience Request has been altered to handle any squire or knight requests and has the relevant information. The wiki has also been updated to reflect this and has a link to that post. This means that you will not be PMing your local DS to become a squire or knight!
So why am I doing this? Couple reasons. Firstly, I don't want to miss your PMs regarding knighthood/squirehood. I try to stay up on it, but there are cases where PMs get buried in my inbox. Secondly, if something should happen to me, there is a public record of your request. Requests don't get deleted until they are handled or until they are irrelevant. So the next DS will be able to take over and handle said requests without much trouble. This is easier for both players and staff. Thirdly, being a knight or squire is considered a job. Players forget this and request side jobs, this can't happen. I hope to drive this home. If you would like to buy an weapon, horse or armor you have multiple options as a squire. My suggestion is to look into the Shield points cash-in process, it is the easiest way to get an item that you get to keep from all your hard work.
Knights and squires who would like to use the recruitment office to play out their acceptance into the knighthood may do so in an unmoderated thread. But, becoming either requires going through the process in the thread linked above.
Knighting quests still will go through your local DS.
