A quick question that came up in chat.
Anatomy: A skill or a collection of lores?

I believe it is a collection of lores (generally race specific). In the Massage skill it states:

Prerequisites and Related Skills:

Lore of race-specific anatomy. Examples Lore of Human Anatomy, Eypharian Anatomy, Jamoura Anatomy, etc. Note: If one is preforming massage on a person outside of the racial lore they possess, they operate automatically one level lower than they actually have.

Therefore, I think it is a collection of lores rather than a skill.

A corollary and another question that came up in chat. What's Mizahar's general level of knowledge regarding anatomy?

Anatomy is indeed more a collection of Lores than an actual skill. For example, skills such as Medicine would employ a variety of Lores involving Anatomy. Those who are skilled in medicine would have Anatomy lores that further detail and specialize their skill.

As for general knowledge of Anatomy, it's safe to assume that the average person would know basic exterior Anatomy like what the basic parts of the body are; hands, feet, fingers, head, eyes, nose, ears, etc. They would know the basics of function such as the brain controlling movement, the eyes used for sight, ears for hearing and such. Obvious things that one would learn from basic observation throughout life would be known. Note however that this knowledge wouldn't transcend species/races beyond the basics. For example, a human would view a Jamoura based on the human's basic knowledge of anatomy even though the Jamoura are vastly different when you get to the finer details.

That said, some races would be more in-tune with their anatomy than others. For example, the Isur are, from birth, highly focused on their physical forms. Thus their knowledge of their own bodies is going to be greater than say the knowledge an average human has of their own physical make up. This is due to the Isur spending a life-time building their bodies to peak perfection.

Those trained in medicine of course would have exposure to a greater amount of knowledge (aka Lore) due to their training and practice with the skill. Also, those skilled in Morphing will have more opportunity to study the Anatomy of the models they wish to use for their transformations.

Ultimately though, basic knowledge for the average human (which makes up the majority of the sentient population of Mizahar) would fit into my initial comments.
