30th Spring 515Av

Moxie slowly walked along the path towards The Bean, a place that was a bit in despair and in rough condition, though the Lillian Root Tea that was served there was delicious. The owner did not have much social eloquence, which was okay with Moxie, she did not really like talking much anyway, especially to strangers. Besides most people would mistake her as a child of 15-16, when in fact she was older, so people tended to not strike up a conversation with her. If they were to look in her eyes though, they would see the maturity laying there, the wisdom of someone older. The Konti hummed a tune, as she walked down the path. Nothing she really knew, just a soft tune that sounded lovely to her own ears, though she was sure other's probably did not find it so.

She stopped to take in the views around her, and noticed a few flowers here and there, she went over to smell one and smiled. She did not know the name of the plant, but it had a beautiful color and scent to it. The urge to pick it rushed through her, but she backed away. "Best to leave it for others to enjoy." The small Konti woman thought to herself, and continued on her way towards The Bean. She was ready to grab a tea and sit outside, sipping on the delicious concoction and enjoying the Spring weather. It was sunny today, but the ground was still moist from the rain the day before. The earthy smells intertwined with the scent of flora, and made it quite delectable to Moxie's nose.

Moxie heard a noise, that seemed to come from above, or at least she thought it was. She frowned a bit and looked around, "What was that.." Moxie thought as she frowned deeper, glancing around and shrugging her shoulders, continuing her slow, day dream walk to The Bean.

The Butterfly Creature (Lotvie)

Postby Lotvie on May 20th, 2015, 10:45 pm

Lotvie stretched his violet, translucent wings in a display of beauty, stifling a yawn as he did so.

The Akvatari had just awoken from his nap, and was planning on heading to The Bean for some coffee before he had to work on his latest art project. The artist was trying to paint a woman- but not just any woman- this woman was covered in snow, laughing as she twirled in a blizzard. Or, at least, that's how she was supposed to look. At current, the painting looked more like a Kelvic polar bear had learned to tango. Each time he tried, he could never get the woman right. There was too much white, and too many shades to work with. There was no way he could get the light to shine on her right, and so she always looked wrong. She always seemed too fat, too skinny, too young, too old, and never quite right.

Occupied by thoughts of his work, the Akvatari payed little attention to where he was going, let alone what or who might be in his way. So it was of little surprise to anyone but Lotvie when he nearly collided with a woman's backside. Veering violently in the air, the boy with the purple wings crash-landed just off the side of the road, barely missing the woman.

It wasn't a loud crash, nor was it a particularly harsh one, but it was certainly enough to wake Lotvie up. The collision of Akvatari and concrete jarred him awake more quickly than any coffee might. Beathing heavily, the boy wiped his brow and let out a deep breath.

"I'm sorry, ma'am!" He called out, "My fault entirely. Are you okay?"

Moxie let out a yelp, as something, some creature almost collided with her head. She put her hands on her chest, her racing heart beating tragically against it, as she stared at the creature before her. She had never really seen anything, or anyone, quite like the boy, or butterfly, or ... what ever he was. She would of thought it a dream, a hallucination, or maybe even a animal that was looking to eat her, if it wasn't for the fact that he actually talked. Expressing his apology in such a warm manner, she was not sure what to say to him. She walked over to the butterfly creature slowly, and leaned down to look him over. She did not mean to be rude, but she could not help herself. The translucently purple wings caught her attention and she was slightly enamored. She reached out and softly touched the wings, they were beautiful and felt so soft under her touch. She shook her head, to get herself out of the world she found herself in, slightly shocked.

"What... are you..? Moxie said in the language of her Konti sisters, more to herself then to him, as she examined him again. Pink seal fur covered his legs, and she could not help but softly touch that too. He was mystical and beautiful, his dark brown hair all messy set well on his head, and his eyes twinkled with something she could not quite tell, paint seemed to stain his hands. He was marvelous, and she was once again being rude.

"Sorry.. Never seen you before.. You are uhm.. Moxie frowned a bit trying to think of the word in common, but instead said it in Kontinese, marvelous and beautiful." Moxie said with a smile, and sat on the ground beside the man, You okay? Moxie asked concerned. Sure her head may of just almost been taken out but the butterfly creature, but it didn't and he crashed on the ground. Though it wasn't a hard crash, she still was concerned.

She sat a little back, giving the guy his space. She always seemed to find herself, up in others space getting a little too close to them. She was just that type of person though, not stand offish or cold, but warm and pleasant, wanting to touch people in emotional crisis or hug them. So she sat back and waited for his response.

The creature replied that he was an Akvatari, said his farewells and was back in the air on his way. Moxie waved to the retreating figure with a half smile. The small Konti woman then began to walk away, her head held down as she became lost in thought about the weird creature she just met, many questions swirling in her mind, left unanswered about the peculiar man.

She walked with out paying much attention of where she was going, and hit something rather hard, almost like a rock. She peered up into the face of a handsome stranger, blushing, and stuttering an apologetic noise. She meant to say sorry, but it came out garbled and squeaky. This man before her was gorgeous, and built like a stone wall. It made her heart flutter, and he seemed to be enjoying her uneasiness, "Watch where ya going next time, yeah?" The man said it roughly, but it was laced with what she hoped was humor. Moxie smiled and nodded her head, not really able to speak, she peered down at his hands and went to grab one but he jerked back, arching his brow.

"What do you think ya doing?" His expression held boredom of the situation, if not a little curious as to why she was reaching out for his hand. Moxie was socially awkward in situations like this it seemed, and she tried to explain to the bored looking man. "R..read your palm..as apology? She asked a bit, hating the shaking and stutter in her voice, wishing she could hide away her embarrassment in her voice and body language.

The man let out a exasperated breath and held out his palm, "Sure but hurry up with it." The man said lethargically, and held out his hand for her to examine. He did not seem to thrilled about it, and was rather bored and impatient. Moxie gave him a small smile and nodded as she held his rough, calloused hand in her own, looking at the lines, creases, mounds and fingers. His hand was so large compared to her own, and much rougher then she had expected. "He must work hard.." Moxie thought as she began to read his Palm.

The size and texture of his hands told Moxie that he not only was a hard worker, but he also was a practical person, but also curious. The temperature of his hands was rather warm, giving away his wild nature. She hurriedly traced the lines on his palm, trying to unravel the riddles it held, knowing that she herself could not answer all, that it would be vague even to her, but she still gave it her all as she always did in every palm reading.

His heart line started at the Index finger and ended at his pinky, with multiple creases and breaks. The line told her that he had little interest in romance or love, though he had suffered an emotional trauma in his past.

The head line began between the index finger and his middle finger, it was long and curvy, which spoke that he loved physical activity and he was focused on his goals, as well as a wanting for adventure.

The life line made a arch around his thumb, with breaks and small x's, telling Moxie that he was a bit shallow when it came to life, thought he was intelligent, that soon he would prove rumors wrong. "What ever that means..." Moxie thought to herself frowning. She could not see a fate line, and was in a hurry as the man was becoming impatient with her constant touching of his palm, so she hurried along to view the shapes of his fingers, forgetting the mounts as she had no time for it.

His fingers were middle length, large, and his nails were bitten down to nothing and unkempt as well as dirty. The length told Moxie that he was determined, his intentions were always positive but not always turned out that way. The bitten, unkempt, fingernails told her that he was critical, a bit of a smarty pants, but hard working.

Moxie let go of his hand and took a few seconds to take a deep breath letting the information form the best fortune she could muster from the vague riddles. She looked up at the bored expression, as he waited for her response. "Well..?" The man asked irritated. Moxie blushed not realizing she had been staring at him.

"Vague riddles..palm..tells. You..hard working and driven by a goal..romance not in future...something about rumors though I not understand it.. Money is coming to you.. stay determined and be less critical." Moxie said in Common, though her musical Konti accent was laced the words. The man shook his head laughing, "This is nonsense. Anyway, I am Cecil it was an odd but pleasant time. I must go now."

Moxie nodded, "Moxie.. Farewell." she mumbled to the retreating figure, of the dangerous but gorgeous man as he walked away. He had an air of danger about him, that drew the naive Moxie in. He was an interesting human, and she smiled as she made her way back home. The thoughts of meeting the strange creature pushed out of her head, as the face of the bored looking Cecil consumed it. She wasn't infatuated, just curious, and okay maybe he was really nice to look at too.

Since the thread was abandoned for more then 30 days, I vaguely said goodbye to Lotvie, and made it into a Job Related thread so it wasn't too useless. =\
