Solugh Aine

Appearance

Race: Kelvic
Gender: Male
Age: Three Years
Birthday: 19, Spring, 512 AV
Birthplace: Ravok

Appearance:

Standing at a short five feet, five inches, Solugh Aine doesn't take up very much space. Though not exactly thin, lean muscles glide underneath his pale skin, his body shows abundant evidence of swimming from early years. His short neck leads up to a chin bursting with a light smoldering red-brown beard, the hairs themselves laying straight like bristles. A long nose rests atop a thin, ever smirking lip, and divides his gleaming eyes, green with flecks of mischief glimmering just on the edges. His hair matches the color of his beard, grown out three inches and constantly messy. Upon opening his mouth, his canines are just larger than normal human's. Solugh's chest, arms, and legs are covered in hair similar to his beard in color and texture.

When shifted into his animal form, Solugh takes the appearance of a playful otter. His fur greatly resembles his body hair in color, giving his body a muddy red hue. At 15 inches long, and 16 pounds in weight, he is a small otter, though fully matured.

Character Concept

Solugh Aine (Pronounce Soh-loo Ahn-ya) is seemingly more at home in the water than on land, even for someone born in Ravok. Known for his mischievous, playful ways, Solugh finds himself on the wrong end of many a scolding for his antics. Shielded from an early bonding, Solugh had a luxury of learning to enjoy freedom to explore the numerous waterways around Ravok, and could be oftentimes found attempting to race a water glider.

Solugh's parents had oft expressed concern over his ever insatiable curiosity with the world around him. A thirst for exploration rivals his lust for fun. The moment Solugh finds something that piques his curiosity, he is hooked, and he has become known for having his pockets stuffed with a various assortment of shiny baubles, not all acquired through the most polite of means.

As he began to reach his maturity, a new desire formed within him. Having no bond mate had begun to work its toll, and he decided to set out to find the means to finally quell his curiosity.

Character History

Solugh Aine was born to Vereth and Isandrie Aine, a fisherman and his wife. Both were overjoyed when Isandrie had taken with child, but became quite concerned when the pregnancy seemed to take a strange turn as Isandrie went into labor. The wriggling mass that emerged from the woman turned from human child, to otter, and back in poor, shocked Vereth's hands. The couple were frightened, not of the child, but that their new infant would be carted away into slavery as soon as he was discovered.

It was no surprise to them then as to how fast he grew. Keeping him a secret from their neighbors and the whole of Ravok proved very difficult, given the innate curiosity and playfulness of their ever growing, ever consuming child. With few options available to them after two and a half years of attempting to confine the pup of a boy to the house, the parents finally came up with a solution.

Solugh now looked like a young man, more or less, leaning towards the more with every passing day. In order to hide the sudden appearance of a boisterous youth in their household, Vereth schemed that his child had come to him from some distant cousin fallen ill, and the story took. With the need for a bond mate for Solugh growing apparent, his parents urged him to pick up and leave Ravok for a safer place, where he is less likely to be taken as a slave if his abnormalities are discovered. Before sending him on his way, his mother imparted to him a medium sized, glistening stone of some beauty, to which Solugh instantly coveted. Her last words to him before he set out were that he was to entrust that stone to the individual he would entrust his heart to as well, before pointing him in the direction of Syliras.
