Dravite's encouragement and acknowledgement that her skills as a hunter may yet bear fruit with the passing of time and practice, was a kind gesture; one keenly felt and greatly needed in her time of self-doubt. As their conversation continued to flow, Ethynia was consistently surprised with the ease in which she felt she could talk to the man and with how kindly he reciprocated. It was clear in the way the man held himself, his disciplined movements and sensitive nature that needed no effort in thinking of others - that this was a man of great honor. A man with ethics, Ethynia was beginning to admire.
As he spoke of the wandering history of his pavilion through out the Sea of Grass, Ethynia's imagination began to spiral with fantasised thoughts of the surrounding grassland - far beyond the borders of where even she had explored. She could see that Dravite had been sculpted from his broaden experiences, perhaps this was why he was so self-confident in who he was. Suddenly pulled from deep thoughts, she was not expecting for Dravite to suggest she also join the Watch. Her first thought of the notion was preposterous, she did not consider herself worthy or skilled enough to join their ranks.
However, as Dravite pulled back the fur mantle, Ethynia's gaze searched his stern, yet gentle features for a moment, gauging the seriousness of his suggestion, or whether it was just an off-handed idea. Then a single thought struck her - why was it such an inconceivable thought? They had always been warriors that had inspired Ethynia as a child. Tales of their bravery and adventures had always ignited a fire within her gut. A fire that always remained smouldering just beneath the surface, waiting to come to life.
As she followed Dravite's lead, she entered through the doorway first, bowing her head in gratitude for more than the simple gentlemanly act of holding the door. Crossing the threshold, Ethynia's chocolatey gaze took a moment before getting used to the dim lighting. Only briefly observing her surroundings, her curious gaze came at last to settle upon the imposing figure of the blonde male before them. Stepping aside so that Dravite may present himself to the man, she did her best not to attract attention while Dravite attended to his business.
When Aris formerly introduced himself, she then knew they were in the right place. As she gazed upon him, she'll admit, in slight awe, it became clear that all the stories her father had told her about him were more than true. It was only when Dravite made to introduce her after he had himself, that she suddenly realised she had not given him her name! Her cheeks tinted a pale rose colour in slight embarrassment, how rude he must of thought her!
Despite thinking Aris's snort to Dravite's request ignorant and uncalled for, due to hearing stories of the man, she did not find it surprising. She had to restrain the urge to jump to his defense however, as she noticed Dravite was taken aback by the question. Watching the conversation unfold she studied Aris's features intently with the intention of gauging his thoughts on Dravite, though it was impossible to tell for the man gave nothing away. She was perfectly content remaining unnoticed and playing the part of a spectator, witnessing the beginnings of a new life for Dravite come to life, when suddenly Aris turned his attentions towards her.
Left momentarily speechless, Ethynia had not yet had time to properly consider Dravite's suggestion. Although, within that simple, secret smile that was flashed her way, her heart's desire sung in place of her head before she had even time to realise what had come out of her mouth,
"I am Ethynia, daughter to Ahanu Folkvar of the Topaz Clan. The man that presents himself before you is an honourable one, with many skills beyond those of just the physical to offer and is someone you would do well to consider to swell the ranks of The Watch." - That brown gaze unfaltering from the sight of the Tavekh before her was afire with passion.
She could not help herself, despite the high standing Aris held among the Drykas, Ethynia could not forego backing up the man beside her she obviously perceived as her friend. Within a split second after, her heart voiced what her brain was too slow to realise,
"I am some-what skilled with a bow and sure enough I can ride. But what I offer is loyalty, passion and a willingness to stake my life and to do what is necessary to protect our people."
For the first time since leaving the bossom of her surrogate pavilion, Ethynia felt sure of her decision, felt strong in her own self, enough to believe she could make it within the Watch. Though, as her brain suddenly caught up to what was happening, a knot of anxiousness as to Aris's response made her stomach churn.
