Ethaefal Family Heirloom

Hello! I've recently decided to make a male Ethaefal character who's most recent past male life was a Chaktawe, and I'm wondering how family heirlooms would work. I'm assuming my character didn't exactly bring anything from the physical world with him to the Ukalas when he ascended, so does that rule out any possibility of picking a family heirloom? I thought perhaps I could make a story of how after I washed up on shore I spent a few nights at nearby village where someone took sympathy on me and gave me a small farewell gift, but since it's not family I wasn't sure if that example would work.

Hello and welcome to Mizahar.

The “heirloom” feature of the CS does not necessarily have to be an heirloom as such inherited from a family member. You can have been gifted the item in question by anyone, at any time. I see you are not starting out as a “new fallen” ethaefal and applaud you for that. You are allowed to simply make up a reason why someone, at some point after the fall, gave you the heirloom item. Just remember that it must be worth 50 gm or less.

Thank you Caelum! I actually asked around on the chat last night, and neglected to close this thread. I appreciate the speedy response, and I'll probably take you up on that offer at some point!
