Heya folks! I am Aventis, your brother in multiple arms, straight from the Citadel City. As some of you may know, the S.S. Phaeaco is stopping in Riverfall docks from the 43rd to the 46th to restock, during which time the PCs and NPCs (soon to be developed) aboard are open for RP, and so is the ship. If anyone has any plot ideas with any of us, please PM the respective PC, or, alternatively, if you want to engage in a larger plot with the ship then I am wholly open to sabotage, stowaway, or any other major plots. Feel free to ask. Have a nice Summer!

Regarding The Doors

Everyone has asked me literally in a PM about this. So rather than reply specifically, I'm going to give you my notes. I was originally going to randomize what happens when you go through a door, but I think this way will be a lot better.

You find a door in a thread... one that wasn't there.

You have two options (like a choose your own adventure novel).

• Option 1 - Do nothing. Don't open the door. Don't go through it. What happens? Nothing.
  
• Option 2 - Open the door. Go through it. One of two things then happens. At this point I was going to randomize. But I've decided to let YOU pick.
  
  
  • A. You enter an alternative reality Riverfall. You get to be there for one bell in duration. You can pick how the reality is altered. You can pick what happens to there. The only issue is that you can't bring ANYTHING back from alternative Riverfall. This is a psychological adventure. After one bell you find yourself standing at the exact point in REAL RF where you entered the door. The door itself is now gone.
    
  • B. There is a chamber that contains an aggressive horrifying monster. This monster is confined to this strange alternative reality room until YOU opened the door. Now its free. Now you get to kill it or die trying. I suggest you craft the monster to suit your level. No fantastical things like Dragons etc. But otherwise you can describe and pick what kind of monster it is in all aspects and fight it. If you run away it is then loose for real in RF.

Now I have a lot of people claiming seasonal events. I'll reply to those pm's today. Remember if you claim one it has to be OPEN to anyone and posted in the seasonal calender thread as such. By requesting more information on an event, you are CLAIMING it. If you then don't post the thread, you will be in big trouble (tm)... and i'll probably jump randomly into another one of your threads and kill or mutilate your PC. So be sure you WANT the thread before you ask for info on it which again is CLAIMING it.

Remember, you can make doors appear anywhere. The ones listed on the 'seasonal events' are just suggestions. Go crazy, have fun, get bent.

A question about the monster choice for the door. Do we also not get to bring back any loot from the monster if we kill it in that chamber?

Also I love the whole idea of literally fighting a demon of your own mind's creation, just love it Goss.

Secondly; in the case that you run from the creature, and it gets released into real Riverfall, do other PCs then get to help you fight it, or can only you see it? Just want a little clarification there.

The Monsters don't have loot. This scenario is like the Alternative Reality RF. You can't bring it back with you in terms of stuff. You can bring back injuries etc. If you open the door and don't kill the monster (run away, try to close it, etc) then the monster GETS loose in RF and creates havok (tm). Everyone sees it, even if its a thought-form type thing of your own creation.. like your evil twin or something.
