Location Threads

Hey everyone,

I'm a bit curious about the common 'etiquette' for posting in location threads. It's just something that occurred to me. For the most part, they seem to be the place for token posts relating to that location. Citizen Registration Offices or whatever they're called in the various locales come to mind. You just post there that you're present. Or if you just want to purchase a few things you post to the appropriate shop. But occasionally, people seem to have stories running in location threads, or they do the same amount of shopping in an unrelated thread. Which confuses me.

So I'm just wondering what the 'normal' way is. I assume anything posted to a location thread won't be graded as far as differences go. So it's really just for getting stuff done on the quick if we're being greedy for Skills and Lores? I don't even really 'need' that information. I'm just curious as I was looking over various locations and wondered at how different some of the threads were from others.

some locations you need to physically post in them to help the Story teller in area, so like the entrance gates to announce your arrival into the city and registration threads so they can approve you for a job or give you wages.
I think there was a time when you posted directly in stores to buy things but for the most part people just add it to their character sheet directly. if it's more involved they make a thread and indicate in the title that it's in a particular location so the grader knows to look up that location up and award you lores based on it. It also helps if your threading with another person to make sure your on the same page location wise.
