51 of Fall, 510 AV

As soon as the sun set down in Syliras, Nehsmay made her way towards the White Swan Inn to present the piece of paper she had received in order to get a job as a storyteller at the famous Inn. She hoped to be able to get the job, after all her mother's money wouldn't keep her going for such a long period of time.

Thankfully the Inn wasn't overcrowded and Nehsmay made her way to the counter without problems. The clerk didn't appear to be overly busy, but what did the Vantha know about running a business?

"Excuse me." she gathered up her courage "I'm here to get a job as a storyteller. I've been sent from the Employment Office. Do you have any spots available?"

[Syliras Location] The White Swan Inn

Postby Aria Xenil on March 20th, 2012, 3:01 pm

Spring, 512 AV.

Aria went inside the inn. The inn was beautiful. She scanned the inn. She saw a few people being served some delicious-looking food. Aria was hungry, very hungry. But she needed a room. Food comes later.Hm...where will I ask for a room? Aria wondered. She slowly walked around, wondering where she was supposed to ask for a room.

Aria sighed. She was new to the city, what would she know about Syliras? Slowly, she walked to the lady who owned the inn. The lady told her that she could have a room for a day. Aria payed the money and followed the lady upstairs.

Aria and the lady arrived upstairs. The lady led her to a beautiful room. Aria thanked the lady and went inside the room. She carefully looked around. She saw a bed. She quickly remembered how hungry she was

Nevermind the food... I have to rest. I'm extremely tired. And there's a new day tomorrow. I wouldn't be staying here for too long, I'd probably die without some adventure... Aria thought. She walked over to the bed and lay down. Before she knew it, she fell fast asleep.

Spring, Day 23, 512 AV

Carolyne enter to the inn after a long day of helping her father with some swords he needed to finish for the knights. It was her first time in the inn, although she have lived in Syliras for so many years she have never entered in there. The main cause of that could be her mother who always made the food for all the family and usually made Carolyne and her sister help her.

But today Carolyne wanted to try something different, she didn't wanted to cook, she just wanted to relax and try to figure what she was going to do with her life now.

She entered the Inn and notice how cute and even relaxing it was. There were not a lot of people in there, so the place was really quiet . She walk to a table and sit in a chair, just to be with her thoughts for a second.

"Well Carolyne, what a great start of a life full of adventures right?" She told to herself bitterly " You left your parents house and started to living alone and now you realize that it's worst that you though it would be because it's lonely and you don't talk to anyone, because let's be honest you don't know anyone in there, and to make everything better you are talking to yourself .... Yeah a great start."

Day 26 of Fall, 512.

Despite living in Syliras for the past two years, Maeva had not stepped inside the inn more than a handful of times. She had had no need to, save for the odd meals and drinks. So she was impressed when she walked through the front doos; why do I spend more time in the tavern than this place?

She approached the front desk, and smiled as she smelt the aromas for delicious food mixed with beer. "Excuse me," she said brightly, "I was suggested to come here from the Emplyoment Agency. Is there any barmaid or waitress roles available?" She paused, wondering what the criteria would be for such a role, "I... have great people skills?" She suggested, followed by a playful smile.

[Syliras Location] The White Swan Inn

Postby Talorin Ki on November 8th, 2012, 1:32 am

58th day fall 512

After walking through the city for most of the day, (having gotten lost), Talorin finds the Inn. Opening the front door he is immediately met with an intoxicating aroma coming from the kitchen area. He smells garlic, thyme, rosemary, and other scents coming from the preparation of dinner. Talorin steps the rest of the way in and begins to look around. The tables are about half full of patrons and the wait staff is busy seeing to everyone's needs. Noone pays him any mind, so he walks up to the first person he sees that works here.

"Hi I have this paper from the employment office and I am interested in working here if you need or want me to that is, I like to cook and mother always thought I was good at it, but she died, and I have to find a job and the nice lady at the office said to come here and so I did, but on the way over I got lost because I've never been here before so I asked a knight for directions and he pointed this way so I came and that's why I'm so late and I know it's close to dinner time, because I can smell the cooking and even thought it smells great I'm sure I can help make it excellent if you would just give me the chance."

He finishes speaking and slowly rocks on his heels in anticipation of the woman's response.

Summer, Day 58, 513 AV

When Vanari stepped into the inn, she couldn't help but sigh with wonderment. It was lovely, and she suddenly remembered all the things that would come with fine living. A real bed, a hot bath, food she didn't have to cook--oh, bliss!

Looking around, she spotted a woman who seemed to be in charge. She handed the lady the paper from the employment office and explained, "Pleased to meet you ma'am, my name is Vanari. I wish to stay here for perhaps a season, and am willing to work for my entire stay. I'm a storyteller and artist, but I'm perfectly capable of cleaning floors or waiting tables as well!"

If I get to busk, this will be the best season ever, Vanari wistfully thought to herself.

[Syliras Location] The White Swan Inn

Postby Severus on February 3rd, 2014, 6:47 am

1st of Winter, 513 AV, around 10 PM.

Severus walked up to the Main Gates of Slyrias, impressed by the sheer size of the outside walls. Quite different from the cities he had previously been to on his adventures. The guards at the entrance stopped him and asked him to state his business.

"I am a traveler looking to take up residence in this town, for how long it is not quite clear." He answered them. " Would you mind telling me the directions to a inn?" The guards gave him directions, telling him to follow the road until he got to the castle, the inn was directly beside it he couldn't miss it.

He nodded at the guards in recognition of their help and proceeded to walk inside. As the outside of the city itself was awe-inspiring to him, the inside was even more so. " Certainly didn't have anything like this in Wind Reach" he said to himself.

He walked for a while before reaching the castle and noticing the sign for the White Swan Inn. He went inside and looked around for someone he could get a room from. Noticing a woman that appeared to be in charge of things, he assumed was the owner, at the front desk he walked up and inquired their prices.

He handed the woman enough gold mizan for lodging for a month, 276 Gold Mizan to be exact. The woman handed him a iron key he assumed went to his room door and motioned for him to follow her so she could show him where his room was.

They walked in silence to his room, when they reached it the woman opened the door for him, smiled, and told him to enjoy his stay before walking off.

He went inside, closing the door behind him. The room was actually quite nice containing a separate room for dining or just for sitting down to relax after a hard day, the bedroom was separated off from the living area, which is exactly where he was headed.

Walking over to his bed he sat down on it to pull off his boots. He sat them beside the bed and laid his cloak over the edge of it. He lied on the bed for a while thinking about his journey and where it had bring him thus far, eventually drifting into sleep..

[Syliras Location] The White Swan Inn

Postby Larka Faux on July 29th, 2015, 10:31 pm

Season of Summer, Day 50th, 515 AV

The moon was beginning to dip as Larka made his way over towards the building that was pointed out as the White Swan Inn. The sun was going to rise soon and at this point Larka wanted nothing more than to lay down and rest his screaming, aching body. Wearily pushing open the door to the White Swan Inn. Larka walked up to the woman at the desk noticing that she was watching him closely as he shambled his way up to her. On a normal occasion he would be asking all manner of questions, but fatigue had finally silenced him.

"I would like, erm, a room for the night." He said quietly to the woman at the desk.

"Certainly. Our daily rates for our rooms go for three gold-rimmed mizas per guest. I will need your name and your mizas before I can let you stay here."

Larka nodded as he dropped his bag and reached inside fumbling with his few belongings before he found the stack of gold mizas. After some time he managed to undo the ties that kept the mizas from freely moving and extracted three gold mizas, letting the rest of the coins merely fall to the bottom of his bag without a care. Carefully and slowly he straightened back up trying not to groan as his muscles clenched and cramped.

"Here you go. Three gold mizas. My name is Larka Faun."

"Excellent! Now if you'll just follow me I shall show you to your room."

Larka followed the woman while tiredly glancing from side to side taking in all the visual information that this inn had to offer. Eventually the woman stopped in front of a door and handed him an iron key while wishing him an enjoyable stay at the White Swan Inn. Larka nodded and proceeded to enter the room. Locking the door behind him Larka looked about the room for the bed.

"Ah a bed. It's an actual bed." He said to himself as he made his way over to the bed and dropped his bag on the floor next to it before completely collapsing onto it and nuzzling into the soft sheets. Compared to what he had been living with for the past sixteen years this was bliss. Without even removing his shoes or clothing, and without even a wash to remove the grime from his travel, Larka immediately slipped into a deep sleep.
