Vision-Impaired Auristics

Postby Aaliyah Tabr on September 15th, 2015, 8:07 pm

So, here's an idle thought: How would Auristics interact with, say, near-sightedness?

Would it distort the visual perception of the aura? Or would they see it clearly?

Vision-Impaired Auristics

Tarot mentions that a bit in the v-blog on Auristics. You might want to watch it. A link to it can be found on the bottom of the Auristics page.
“Method is more important than strength, when you wish to control your enemies. By dropping golden beads near a snake, a crow once managed to have a passer-by kill the snake for the beads.” ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Vision-Impaired Auristics

Keep in mind too that Auristics doesn't actually replace vision. You'd overgive all over the place if you were say a blind man trying to use Auristics to see with. :) We've had that before and the pcs involved have ran into a whole host of issues.

Vision-Impaired Auristics

"Seeing" auras is just a convention that we use because for most people sight is the dominant sense. My character, for instance, smells and tastes auras instead, because those are the main senses of snakes.

A character who is near sighted might do something similar, maybe with hearing instead or something.

(Also, fun fact: all auras taste like bananas)
